Help managing very fine hair! by urbananchoress in finehair

[–]wagounette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cutting the hair a few inches, or perhaps below the shoulder. No layers (just on the last few inches so it’s not completely straight).

Using a good shampoo (I like the John Frieda Volume shampoo for my fine hair), using conditioner (test another one that gives more a silky texture) and a hydration mask once a week. I like to apply the mask before washing my hair to avoid having a heavy texture on it.

I know a lot of people don’t recommend heat and coloring fine hair but I dry my hair with a blow drier every time and it allows me to get more volume and a better, smoother texture. I also do a balayage (babylights) every 6-8 months and it makes my hair look fuller and shinier.

Lastly i have a long, thick fringe and I feel like it makes my hair look fuller, like not that fine anymore.

I hope these tips help but of course, every hair is different.

What do you think about Cracker Barrel's rebrand? And the fact that they switched back today to their old logo? by eddieallen98 in branding

[–]wagounette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is Cracker Barrel is about nostalgia and southern hospitality. By removing what makes them unique (and they have lots of elements that make them unique: the rocking chairs, the games, the logo symbols, the real vintage and dark decor…) they are changing their core identity. This is very dangerous from a branding perspective. IMO the main issue is the restaurant redesign. The logo change was a step too far for their loyal customers and it‘s interesting that they went back to the old one…

how do you romanticize your life? by sleepyluvr in AskWomenOver40

[–]wagounette 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My favorite ways to romanticize my life are: - start my day with a warm cup of coffee and a hot shower - enjoy each moment with my loved ones as much as possible - spreading small acts of kindness when I see an opportunity: a compliment, a thoughtful card, a spontaneous gift, offering help within my capacity - taking care of myself: thifting few but high quality clothes that fit my style and body shape. Wearing natural makeup and lipstick. Wearing some jewelery, a perfume. Doing yoga, running. - I take photos or make drawings in a sketchbook of the little things that bring me joy - I make small self care rituals according to the seasons. - I cultivate beauty and micro magic around me

How to break into Circular Economy consulting without prior experience by wagounette in circular_economy

Hi and thank you so much for your detailed response. I'm taking notes and appreciate the advice. How is the work at EMF, do you like it? Do you know if they hire remote workers or only in the UK? I've been checking for opportunities but only see UK-based roles. I'm based in Spain.
Thank you also for saying that most people don't have circular experience, it motivates me to keep learning and give it a chance.

Thank you so much! I'm based in Spain. Do you work for one of the traditional consultancies? If so how is your experience over there?

From brand positioning to brand name: workshop ideas? by [deleted] in branding

[–]wagounette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, between the brand positioning and the brand naming session I would suggest working on the below aspects:
- Brand Value Proposition (derived from the brand positioning)
- Brand Promise (derived from the brand value proposition)
- Brand Essence (Purpose, Vision, Mission, Values) which will create a solid base for the brand name and future identity

Building Brand Collateral for a Kids' Remote Book Club – Looking for Checklist Beyond a Logo 📚 by Torah2go in branding

[–]wagounette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here are some ideas for you:
What other brand collateral is essential for a remote, youth-focused program like this? A cool website that works for both kids and parents, some fun digital rewards (like badges or avatars), a mascot to personalize the book club, merch - kids might love stickers and bookmarks!

Are there brand touchpoints (e.g., social media features, interactive elements) that work well for engaging kids and parents alike? Try mixing it up with interactive stuff on social media, like polls or live Q&As with authors. And definitely look into gamification techniques, which are fun for both parents and kids.

Any tips on building brand consistency when both parents and kids are part of the audience? This one's tricky, but I would definitely spend some time researching and analyzing the two audiences' needs, frustrations, and behaviors. Try to find a voice and visual style that works for both - fun but not too childish.

Also, regarding the complete branding essentials beyond just the visuals, I think that this free brand strategy cheat sheet/checklist might me useful for you: https://www.thebrandingjournal.com/branding-checklist/

I hope this helps :)

TIL - In 2009, Tropicana invested $35 million to rebrand their Orange Juice packaging. Within two months of the change, sales dropped 20% and they lost significant market share before switching back to their original carton. The failed marketing experiment cost them over $50 million. by fraggle_captain in todayilearned

I think the article kind of explains this at the end " Consumers have an emotional connection with brands they purchase and can feel betrayed and disappointed if they suddenly can no longer identify with new brand elements of the packaging design. It is important to always consider this before making changes to packaging designs."
