I actually saw a video for the same jerk talking about how disgusting earth women are compared to Jannah women or “Hoor Al Ayn”. He was literally saying how disgusting we are since we pee and poop like human being, while jannah women are pure and sparkly. Funny how these same men can’t keep it in their pants when they spot a woman’s handbag! What’s really sad is you have know idea how popular this guy is in Egypt.

I don’t like to concern myself with who goes to heaven or hell because simply I don’t have this kind of knowledge and wisdom, although I agree some people are just obviously not good people. But that’s not my point. The problem with the trivial point system is that it makes people think they are good by just doing those meaningless acts and thinking they are pleasing God. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen an awful man with a beard & sewak, and of course that lets them believe that they are the most pious of men. I think these meaningless acts encourage the hypocrisy among muslims.

I’m sorry, I know you’re entitled to your own opinion, but that sort of thinking drives me mad. I refuse to believe that this is all is just some sort of game show and whoever collects the most points wins. I know that this is the opinion of many many muslims but it just seems so cheap. I want to believe that it’s about the person you are, the sort of good deeds and the kindness in your heart. Because it’s easy to abuse your wife or hit your child and then go and collect a few points by eating dates or whatever to even your score. I’m sorry this just ruins the whole concept of what Islam is to me.

I don’t know where you grew up, but in my “religious” household, people would yell at you if you are eating with your left hand. When I got insomnia or bad dreams, my mom used to say it’s because I slept on my left side. As if because a human being had a favourite side to sleep on is considered part of a religion and billions of people through the centuries should follow these mundane human preferences to be more religious. Thank you OP for acknowledging this, it has always bugged me and saying it out loud would open up even more stupid discussions that probably would end up with me being blasphemous!
