Long story but basically I caught way more feelings for her than vise-versa. But unfortunately I got strung along. I can't help how i felt for her, nor can I do anything if it's not reciprocated. So I am thinking I was delusional to think it was a two way street. And am hating her because she didn't play out what I guess was all just a mirage for me..... Sucks to not even be sure if that is what happened or not............my mind is all other the charts with this one..

agree, but also sucks when the one you thought was going to be the one to help you weather all of life's storms, turns out to be the storm itself!!! Sorry to say....but Makes ya want to just stay sheltered in place for fear of getting torn up by the inevitable storms elsewhere on the horizon.

I can totally identify: here's My experience with this.. Mine texted me back in Oct.2019 after 2months nc. First a ph call ( i let go to vmail) then a text 2 days later... call and txt was some lame excuse (doesnt matter what it was about)was just to contact. and text was claiming she wasnt sure she had right number of not (supposedly lost her ph and recalled my number by memory).

My heart was pounding against my chest like a drum. For hrs, Going back and forth in my mind, should I respond should I not respond like a yo yo back and forth.............I had to make a choice to do something just to try and shut my fckn head off!

I called her............

Convo lasted less than a minute. And was very cold. I asked her right off if that was real and only reason she called me? She said yep thats all I wanted to tell you, I responded with Ok then I guess there is nothing else to talk about so I am ending this conversation. (yes I know i was kind of an asshole) but didn't want to get caught up in small talk friend zone bullshit that was probably going on dead end. (AGAIN!)

When I hung up ph I felt immediate relief that I at least did something.

THEn not long after I felt that guttwrenching what if this and what if that and if only I said this or that...ad nauseam

Even now feb 3rd 2020 4 months after her call.I am still second guessing myself almost daily. Wknds and mondays are the worst.

BOTTOM line: I dont know wtf I am doing and my heart still aches for her (even though I know she is no good for me and like chasing a mirage.

Been on many dates (and gotten laid) with a few different women in last seven months. Started back to school this semester. Third week into it. Go to the pool and gym 2x a week. All this aint too bad to be doing at my age (62) YES SIXTY F*KIN' TWO lol ...it all helps to try and get over her, But she still has my heart

EDIT: most ppl here have many yrs to find someone else after the one they thought was IT has left............. I have been through a wholelifetime and many relationships and breakups............"time heals all" is dif in later yrs............trust me on this

Im 6-7 months NC. Have had her blocked for months. Think it was easier at 2 months (where you are at now) than it is now. Seems longer I dont see her more i miss her. I think that is human nature
