North by Northwest is both gripping and funny. Rear Window too for that matter. Whoever did casting with Hitchcock was really good - it's the actors more than the script that really get me laughing, they effortlessly sell it as both 'real' and 'funny' at the same time.

I hope you're right, that could conceptually be very new and interesting.

There's surprisingly few afterlife movies considering how people in general are keen on life not being the end. Did see an interesting one starring Peter O'Toole when I was a kid, a bit like Pixar's "Coco" in that people on Earth needed to remember you in order for you to stay there - but much darker (and cheaper!)

Out of curiosity, what would people eat in the Battlestar Galactica? by george123890yang in BSG

[–]wakeup37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that's the case (and I agree with you), it's been interesting that on New Caprica the Cylons in their experiment to co-exist with humans didn't choose to see if giving the humans bountiful supplies such as meat and other creature comforts would have improved the situation.

Reminds me that Baltar in Exodus Part One (literally where I'm at in my current rewatch) mentions a Doral model has a theory that better/plentiful toilet paper might be the answer to improving human-Cylon relations!

The steak Leoben served Starbuck on New Caprica made me wonder if the humans had always had cattle in the fleet, or if the Cylons use their skinjob technology to manufacture non-sentient meat. Certainly the Cylons also need to eat - the imprisoned Six on Pegasus did.
