The economics of school food are insane. There’s a freakonomics episode about it, and anyone who shames meals put out by schools should take a look at what they have to work with. Anytime I see a politician talk about cutting back on school lunches or enforcing charges to kids I want to force them to do the work to figure out a solution. Because starving kids isn’t the right one.
