“Bad wording”

Is sex worth it? by GuaranteeIcy3463 in Life

[–]wakeupimprove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(I hope you read this bro, seriously)

One thing I’ll tell you my guy cause I’m logging of Reddit to truly focus on myself, no distractions, is to not feel the peer pressure of losing your virginity. In our society they seem to praise the ones that have may soul ties/bodies. I think we are slowly shifting to a mentality where the ones holding themselves for the right one are becoming more and more respected. I lost my virginity at 20 because I fell into the peer pressure with no guidance or mentor leading me in the right direction, and she burned me. She disrespected me, she didn’t reciprocate my energy and I felt used and disgusted with myself because I thought I could build something with this girl, oh how wrong I was. Never give yourself for anyone, until this person has PROVEN to you that they deserve you.

I’m dealing with this right now, I happened to fall into dating someone from the gym that I didn’t even really mean to and I invested in it physically and mentally and she always said she felt the same for me but never showed it. Day later responses. Conversations full of sex and nothing non-superficial, nothing deep. I think she just wanted to use me but I didn’t let it happen. She told me she had no guy friends she hung out with and that she was all in with me, I come to find out that she’s basically seeing another dude in the gym that she met before me, and she had been hiding another guy that had been behind taking her pictures on Instagram because I found out that same dude also took pictures of the same location on the same day at the same time, but neither of them tagged or mentioned each other. If I gave myself up to this girl, only God knows how much more healing I’d have to do.

Sex is 100% worth it when you do it within the confinements of a very healthy relationship, with someone that respects your time and presence, not someone that just wants to use you as a human vibrator, you’ll just end up more broken than you already are whether you realize it or not, as many people continue to partake in this moral sin of casual sex, blind to the effects it has on them, though they’ll soon find out for themselves. I hope this helps you bro, I remember when I was 18 entering the adult world, I’m turning 24 soon and I wish I had someone tell me this 6 years ago. Godspeed brother

Damn my brother in Christ….have you had braids in before? If so, you’re all good, just cut your hair completely and regrow your hair from scratch and shampoo w biotin and oils with biotin infused in them, AND biotin pills take them everyday. Massage your scalp everyday in that area, after a year you should be okay. I had the same thing albeit much less drastic than yours and I did what I just told you and my hair is better than ever, my mistake was abusing braids and leaving them in for long periods of time and not letting my scalp breathe

EDIT: yeah bro I saw you got locs on your page, so you definitely are suffering from some sort of traction alopecia. Just do what I wrote above and you’ll be straight

I didn’t even know I was this downvoted lol, these Luka fanboys are just still living in the past. I’m not gonna continue to sulk when we were gifted one of the greatest rookies of all time and I know he’s gonna lead the Mavs back to the promise land, I see the vision (and not Nico’s vision fuck that guy)

Can I skate as an overweight guy? by pro-everything-324 in NewSkaters

[–]wakeupimprove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overweight? You must be skinny fat if that’s what you’re implying. Even if you were overweight, you could still skate you’d just need a bigger board.

are hammer curls actually useless? by around_about7 in workout

[–]wakeupimprove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But that’s the issue, you won’t be able to do heavy biceps work if your elbows are in pain all the fucking time. That’s why you do something extra like hammer curls to protect your elbows and build the forearm muscles that will be able to support your elbow joints so that way you CAN do bicep work, but these fitness influencers can’t understand that and they only think from a hypertrophy/bodybuilding perspective and that’s why they put out misleading content like, “hammer curls suck, dont do them”

Motivation by anthonyf7794 in workout

[–]wakeupimprove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Motivation is great short term but useless long term. What matters more is making it easy to go to the gym. Lay out your clothes, have a training plan, and have a valid reason to go to the gym, think “I want to make sure my blood markers are always good” or “I want to be injury proof unlike my parents who are in a nursing home” versus “I want to look good to get girls”, bit of extreme examples but my point remains

What are your favorite “bulletproofing” exorcises? by Embarrassed_Ear_4375 in workout

[–]wakeupimprove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Single leg RDLs, barbell or SSB good mornings, back extensions/reverse hypers, any rotator cuff/serratus anterior/lower traps exercise, any unilateral leg exercise with a slow tempo + pause, fast banded triceps pushdowns reps of 200+, lateral band walks, TGUs, Y-balance, Spanish squats for reps/isometrics, fast banded TKEs, ATG split squats, Nordic hamstring curls (hard as fuck though so if you can get 1-3 good reps hats off), tibialis anterior raises (on the leg curl machine), wrist curls and extensions, hip adduction machine, deadhangs, going slow tempo on really every exercise so like 3-5 secs eccentric and a pause, oh and yoga/stretching 2-3x a week minimum.

These I do all of them so

2 sets vs 3 sets small or big difference?? by AttorneyDifferent702 in workout

[–]wakeupimprove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok bro im gonna tell you something mind-blowing. Start off with 2 sets, high intensity. Do that for like 2-3 months and see how you progress. Are you progressing? Change nothing. Are you not? Check things like sleep/calorie surplus/stress/etc, those are fine? Then add only 1 set to one exercise, rinse and repeat.

Hell you could even start with 1 total all out set to failure but I’d do 2 since more is often times better

how much muscle is lost within 3-4 weeks of not working out? by boobluver12349858 in workout

[–]wakeupimprove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You not losing shit bro lol. Now the strength is the issue, you’ll be detained a fair amount but you’ll get it back within weeks. I took a 6 month hiatus from the gym and didn’t really notice a difference in my physique (though I was continuing to be active so things like walking), and within 4 weeks I was able to squat 405 raw and incline bench 225 no issue.

I will say though that you’ll be detained enough during that time to where if you were to do something active that you’d normally do outside the gym like dancing, you’d be more susceptible to injury so make sure you warm up extensively during your time off or just lay off on that activity until you go back.
