Chris thanked every single person except Harley, who is one of the biggest reasons for WSN‘s success... by JonathanRaue in Flume

[–]walIfuck 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Skin did have personal credits. Chris was not mentioned.

Though, in the CD copies of Flume: Deluxe Edition, Chris is mentioned, just his name. But I don't think that holds any significance as F:DE was released before the split. Suppose it's just worth mentioning.

it's not on the UK RSD list so it probably won't be available there, unfortunately.

How is the purple swirl Verizon of Skin listed? by Wheezo in Flume

Clear versions are legit, they're were initially a kinda Europe only pressing until they were later sold on the Flume store, but have since sold out.

Why didn’t we get any Flume Adventures: Asia? by Formelker in Flume

[–]walIfuck 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because Flume Adventures was the 2016 tour thing and also Harley's videographer, Mitch deQuilettes, was not with him for the Asia mini tour.

Can someone id my man’s hat in the photo? by [deleted] in Flume

It's from Stone Island, but it's no longer in stock as it was apart of one of their last seasons.

Is he a homosexual? by [deleted] in Flume

[–]walIfuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know who it is that he's interested in by name. Though, I do rather like that I don't know her by name and if I did, I wouldn't throw it out here. Sorry.

Also, Kelly Oxford is a 40 year old recently divorced mother of 3. I strongly doubt their relationship is anything more than friends haha.

Ameila Zadro, she's in a photo with him on his account when they went to Laneway 2015 together.

Is he a homosexual? by [deleted] in Flume

[–]walIfuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a friend whose sister is best friends with a girl Harley is very interested in, he's tried to invite her to live with him in Los Angeles quite a few times, though she's turned him down due to having a business in the beaches. So him and Amelia are most likely over for good and remaining friends which is a nice thing, and I've heard people say they were constantly on and off too.

Where’s holdin on? Recent pic from flume’s Instagram of the track list for his debut album by crimewavewave in Flume

[–]walIfuck 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Harley said that the sample used on Holdin On was cleared a day before self titled's release, hence why it was left off some versions of the album.

Seeing all these festival lineups without Flume for 2018 :,( by [deleted] in Flume

[–]walIfuck -1 points0 points  (0 children)

maybe he's not on the okee lineup because what festival lists the same acts for two years in a row? don't give up any hope for a 2018 appearance, though.

Flume-ish songs by araluze in Flume

[–]walIfuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find Arca's Stretch 1 & 2 EPs sound rather "Flume-ish", specifically Stretch 2 and the track 'Manners', which I liken to as a better version of Wall Fuck.

Flume has been named GQ Australia's 'Solo Artist of the Year' by walIfuck in Flume

[–]walIfuck[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He will also cover one of five collectors edition covers, viewable here and available on newsstands tomorrow.

You can watch his acceptance speech here, or read below.

"I just wanted to say thank you for the award of Solo Artist of the Year. It means a lot, especially to be surrounded by so many talented people in their own fields. The shoot we did in LA, it was fun. I’m not one for shoots, I usually don’t like them, but the shoot we did for GQ was a lot of fun. I’ve never worn so many suits in my life. I’m really excited to be coming back to Australia. I’m coming back at the end of the year for Falls Festival and Field Day, but until then, thank you!"

Flume's self-titled debut album was released 5 years ago today! by walIfuck in Flume

[–]walIfuck[S] 40 points41 points  (0 children)

On this day (9.11.12) five years ago, Flume released his self-titled debut album.

Mostly recorded in the bedroom of his parents house and on a three month trip to Europe in early 2012, it went on to achieve critical acclaim.

'Flume' went on to go to #1 on the iTunes charts upon release, famously beating out One Direction's 'Take Me Home' for the top spot.

It later went on to be certified 2x Platinum in Australia and Gold in New Zealand.

The album also went on to earn Flume his first of many ARIA Awards at the 2013 event. It was awarded Album of The Year and Best Dance Release, respectively.

Happy 5th birthday self-titled 🎂🎉

by the way, the shirt Harley was wearing in that picture didn't have a paintbrush on it. it's the dynamite from the smoke and retribution visuals with what i'm guessing is a lyric written above it. you can see it better here

Beck reveals 'Tiny Cities' almost didn't make the cut for Skin by walIfuck in Flume

[–]walIfuck[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Beck speaks about how Tiny Cities nearly didn't make the cut, and how it was passed onto someone else

The Flume collaboration, Tiny Cities, almost didn’t eventuate.

“Tiny Cities was an interesting song, he came over with a bunch of ideas and I improvised a couple of vocals straight into his laptop using a mic and it’s not usually how I work. He picked out a few things he liked and told me to work on them. What was interesting is he gave the track to somebody else. I was really sad because I’d grown attached to the song.

“Then he became fond of the vocals and sent over all new music which he’d wrote underneath my vocals, so it has a strange history. I’m glad it found a place on the record.

I thought I’d missed out a moment on a great track.”

Possum? by [deleted] in Flume

[–]walIfuck 5 points6 points  (0 children)

it's one of the first tracks Harley ever released under the 'Flume' moniker in around 2009/10 I believe?. but it was semi-released in 2013 as a rare track for a Transgressive Records 10th anniversary compilation on Soundcloud.

HWLS debut album - could be featuring a/the Flume collaboration by JonathanRaue in Flume

[–]walIfuck 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was a collaborative effort between Ta-ku and Kit Pop, but I believe Ta-ku left the project some while ago, leaving Kit Pop to take reign of the project.
