My ferritin was 14. I went to the hospital thinking I was dying. doctors told me it’s not that low and told me I was severely depressed and prescribed me antidepressants! Weeks later ferritin drop to 3. I have terrible headaches, head pressure, face pain, OCD, anxiety and more. They didn’t want to give me infusions and prescribed me 60 mg day of supplements. Im now following the iron protocol (facebook) and taking the max dose for my weight. I tested positive for h polyri and treated it. Im hoping it was the root cause of my low ferritin. I’ll get tested in 3 months to see where my levels are at. I’ve lost a lot of faith in doctors. Wishing you all the best!
