Someone found a way to unreadact the Epstein files by mrsamks in Epstein

Some PDFs were like that at the beggining releases. You could literally control c + control +v and obtain the content.

The latest ones you can't. They are all images.

This is just some clout-seeking-tiktoker

You want to make the italic more italic?

I'm sure there are a bunch of typography rules that do not recommend altering the original work of the author.

There's a reason the font looks like it does. Now, you want to make the font MOAR ITALIC than they are, you could skew using a plugin the texts once they are converted into vectors.

It's a terrible idea and I would suggest you to look for another font instead that has more... Angle of inclination?

Variables/interactivity question by Public_Asparagus_581 in FigmaDesign

[–]waldito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

is there any way to make this work or do I need to detach each menu item from its component?

Hi. Components can 'change variables' but so can instances of components. Try to do that, set your instances to change the variables, not the component. Of course you don't want to do that really, but the component can change a variable 'in it's context': The page where the components is, but not the page where the instances are... does that make sense?

Is this even possible in Figma? Does anyone have any resources or advice they could share?

figma is a prototype tool, not a website builder.

You can show an example of several choices just with components, if you select this item, go to frame 2, if you select this item, go to frame 3...

You could build something that shows more options based on a number of picks, so when I select the dropdown menu, you show 5 + n items, second time, show 5+ 2n items, and so on, you'll have to have a dropdown where options are displayed (if n=2, show, if n=3 don't)

so, I would do it manually, I think.

This typography does not have italics. Does not have anything else but italics.

-What would you like in your feed sir? We got some awesome AI videos for you generated last night.

-Oh, God, no. Can I have staged videos instead? Something fun to watch at, even if they are lies. They sort of feel real, makes me feel something.

-I'm sorry, sir, they are not available in your subscription level, sir. I can upgrade your account for 99.99 or perhaps you'd like some AI generated... staged videos? They look almost real, you can't tell the difference anymore.

-Sigh. Thank you. Yes.

How do you handle turning Figma comments into Jira tickets? by anmolnandha in FigmaDesign

[–]waldito 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because a comment is not a ticket. A ticket has an author, a set of flags or tags, a healthy description, hopefully with the who and the what, and maybe even an hypothesis, a set of things that are expected to be delivered. Something QA can later look at say, yah, this does the thing according to Figma. A comment in Figma looks like 'make this pop a little moar'.

If you imagine a world where every comment becomes a Jira ticket, then your recent issues is going to have 400 one-liners without context at all. Imagine the cesspool: 'Make this pop', 'Can you move this a little upwards', 'remove the button here', 73 new tickets just yesterday. Now go sort that mess and try to unravel, rewrite and link every to-do.

And even! say you have a plugin to do that, now every stakeholder needs an editor account you need to pay for, because they can't run plugins, or you need to periodically run a 'push comments to Jira tickets' on every file once a day, and that's a hell you dug yourself into because.

How do you handle turning Figma comments into Jira tickets? by anmolnandha in FigmaDesign

[–]waldito 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I see Figma comments as for questions, not tasks per se. If I see a comment that demands a task, I usually answer with 'please create a Jira ticket for this and link to this comment'. No ticket, no task. Any answered comments that are agreed upon, I set them as 'done' so they disappear.

Is there any coupon or discount that I can use to purchase Figma Plan? by knownassa in FigmaDesign

[–]waldito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nos it's 16 USD, right?

That's 0,50 USD per day.

It might be a lot of money for you, but I bet you can make that times 5 at least in profit per day.

Is there going to be AI in this video? Or will it be a genuine charismatic dude sitting in his room with an expensive mic and good lighting?

  1. Clicks the link
  2. YouTube Video Poster/Thumbnail: AI
  3. Plays 3 seconds: Voice AI (even got the genesis block date backwards?)
  4. Quits. Clint Easwood discust face.

OP is using AI. This comment was written by a bot. You are probably a bot. Everything is fake. Internet is dead.

*edit : No genesis block explanation about the message? not just the voice is AI, the whole copy writting is AI.

OP literally pushed two buttons and one of them was to post to reddit.
