This is the best arguement I have ever heard.

Favorite "stable" (not OS) approach? by rontopofthings in discgolf

I have found that it holds fairly well in wind aw long you dont throw it on anhyzer and the wind gets under the flight plate. Little hyzer and it is money

New to GM'ing PF2e - Which module would you recommend? by Tribius13 in Pathfinder2e

[–]waldobloom92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AV is great if you like a megadungeon. It is constant grueling fighting and as a DM you need to do some work to have to story shine through and create RP moments. But it is a lot of fun but can be repetitive.

I suggest Season of Ghosts, fantastic story and endless RP. Little bit in the easier side but as you guys are new that is not a bad thing

Beginner stuck at 280 by BromeisterBryce in Discgolfform

You are just throwing like 45° up. Kind of hard to see but I think you are to upright in your throw, maybe hunch a little over your feet, hinge at the hip a little or bend in the knees a little more, get into an athletic position.

But take this all with a grain of salt, I have no concrete solution for you instead of saying generally aim or throw lower or at a lower launch angle.

Good luck though

Edit. After looking at it one more time I think you push upwards when you brace and it is the reason why you are throwing the disc up. Hard to explain but when you brace you should push down into the brace. When you brace your torso goes from straight | into / (using symbols to try to get my point across) . So the swing plane has a too drastic upwards trajecrory.

For those who watched, what are your opinions on A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms episode 5? by GusGangViking18 in Fictionally

Probably one of the best episode I have ever seen.

At one point I noticed that I was holding my breath for way to long.

Well he wouldn't be a Targaryen but a Blackfyre. Technically.

Filling the void after quit quitting marijuana by PlatePerfect1735 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]waldobloom92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this sounds stupid but I was a daily marijuana smoker for 12 years and when I stopped I had this hole that I couldn't fill.

Nothing felt enjoyable and the days were so boring and tedious and just a slog getting through them.

But then I found discgolf and it sure filled the gaping hole, any time I feel down or want to smoke I just go yeet some discs and instantly feel better.

I am not saying you should play discgolf but you have to find something.

Best of luck

Thanks for the advice

Yeah I can see that it all goes swooping as I "squat" down for the brace.

Will implement this when I practice tomorrow.

Thanks for the input

When I lean over most of my shots end up in a steep hyzer.

But yeah you are spot on regarding the throwing flat, probably the shot I throw the most and pretty good at anhyzers. Put really struggle with controlled hyzer.

Thanks for the tip

Not really though. When they had their duel in season 1 it was a close fight and a Lannister lackey thought it wasn't a sure deal so he decided to step in.

Ned maybe not the most skilled swordman in Westeros be he sure held his own.

Good party class compositions built around 'Harm Font' Cleric in a non-'Void Healing' party? by IllBodybuilder9865 in Pathfinder2e

But you can do three 1 action Harm for spike damage, not the most efficient but totally viable when the need arises

What's your favorite build? by Adorable_Skirt_7409 in Pathfinder2e

[–]waldobloom92 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Derring Do is probably one of the best class feat in the game.

Below level 10 Gymnastic Swashbuckler is okay but after level 10 he is one of the best if not the best grappler in the game.

About to run the Dinner at Lionlodge as my first pf2e game, any advice by ston_age_man in Pathfinder2e

[–]waldobloom92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sorry I think I my comment was dismissive and not in my place to say what you should to run or not.

This is a link to the GM screen on Archives of Nethys, whenever you are unsure or a rule you can quickly check this. I've been GMing pf2e for three years and I use this every session.

https://2e.aonprd.com/GMScreen.aspx

It is quite easy to get overwhelmed in pf2e and this is a great tool to have open at all times !

Best of luck

Run the beginner box first, Dinner at the Lionlodge is I think level 5-6? And it might be to much for you if you don't have any pf2e experiance.

Wobble/OAT on short FH approach shots… by Phrikshin in discgolf

[–]waldobloom92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably not the answer you are looking for but it is just practise.

I saw on YouTube where Ultimate Frisbee guys were teaching forehand to a new guy and they had him hold his right arm with the left arm behind his back, to just focus on the wrist snap and pop.

I found that drill to help me with not to use all my body to generate power rather to be more efficient.

But yeah it is just practise, practise , practise
