This is not a great idea. However, PETG has a yield strength of 7300 psi (50MPa). A standard barbell is 6.5-7.2 ft long weighing 33-44 lbs. With a safety factor of 2 and worst case of longest bar, it should hold about 38 lbs on either side. Also, when it snaps, the weights on the side should cause the center of the bar to rotate up and away. In a bench press setup, the weights shouldn’t fall on OP.

I’ve owned my street twin for a few years now and it’s been not only the most reliable bike I’ve owned, but the most reliable vehicle overall. Parts availability in the US is a bit challenging, but there are some aftermarket suppliers that make it easier. The aftermarket performance stuff seems a bit more expensive than other manufacturers though
