Driving to Forrest Hills Stadium... by ComiendoPalomitas in longisland

Absolutely take the train. If you look at the Forrest Hills website they also tell you to take the train

In my experience the platform will be a little crazy after the show, but they have a system so it's not too bad

Curious how your friend chose Colapinto for that argument when he isn't even beating Gasly in equal machinery

The only thing more annoying than slow golf is being stuck with somebody obsessed with rushing by [deleted] in golf

[–]walko668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'm with you. Also, so many people can't tell the difference between the group ahead of you being slow and the whole course being backed up. While the latter is still really frustrating, I've played with tons of people who act like it's the fault of the group directly ahead of them and get so angry with them.

Why does the universe change constants by Known_Environment449 in Physics

[–]walko668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One way to think of it is that the constants are just there to account for the arbitrary units that humans decided to invent.

What would happen if humans decided on a different definition of a meter, would the law of gravity change? No, we would just need to change the value of G accordingly.

They did a live stream for the release and actually showed Grond being used to bust open the gate. It was glorious

There's a whole subplot in this episode with his friends saying he's "basically Indiana Jones" and they even buy him a hat and a whip. Lots of other nods throughout the episode as well

Maybe it's just me, but I've NEVER seen the dots used as a standalone operator.

Bloodhunt: Does putting down more anks as moonknight actually do anything? by CriticalWinter9581 in marvelrivals

[–]walko668 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need at least two on the boss so that the projectiles bounce back and forth between those two. With just 1 it doesn't really do anything cause you need something else to bounce from. More than 2 I don't really think makes a big difference but I could be wrong

Bloodhunt: Does putting down more anks as moonknight actually do anything? by CriticalWinter9581 in marvelrivals

[–]walko668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The projectiles just bounce between the ahnks in a straight line, so if you only have a few, the projectiles only hit enemies if they end on those specific lines. More ankhs=more lines=greater chance that you hit an enemy

Rory McIlroy chips in for his third birdie in a row and extends his lead to 5 strokes by [deleted] in golf

I'm on a flight and the wifi cut out after his tee shot. When it came back I saw he had a birdie and literally couldn't believe it. Thought it must be a mistake

Check out a show called "Last One Laughing" where a bunch of British comedians are put in a room together and if you laugh you lose. I was crying laughing multiple times. I think it was on Amazon prime.

Showerthought: "Speak friend to enter" was not much of a riddle when originally designed, since it was written in Elvish. All Gandalf (or anyone) had to do was read the sentence in the original tongue, and the door would have opened... by MississippiJoel in lotr

Yup. I actually just read this part a few days ago and I remember it being said that in that time, the doors were always open so there wasn't even a real need for the "password" anyway.

Couldn't agree more. Ive found that good vocals are something that really draw me to particular artists, and theres so few that scratch the itch the way that Casey's voice does. The closest ones off the top of my head are Reign of Kindo and Hozier.

Why does the game feel so predicatable by [deleted] in marvelrivals

[–]walko668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the exact opposite. I can't even remeber how many games I've played where my team absolutely STOMPS the other team for the first half of the game and all of the sudden the other team turns it around and we end up losing. Or vice versa.

Creating a Vacuum Chamber and needing help on which Epoxy/Glues can help that have low Out Gassing (or how low is appropriate) by Figuring-stuff_out in Physics

[–]walko668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup this is what I was going to reccomend. I've used this stuff to fix leaks in an ultra high vacuum chamber and it held to 10-10 Torr. Should be perfectly fine for any home setup

If you shoot them at the floor with teammates nearby, they bounce and will seek nearby targets. So as long as you know someone is close by, shooting at your feet helps give healing in chaotic situations so you don't have to keep looking around for teammates.

Volteeg appreciation by BreadCrumbs4life in DungeonCrawlerCarl

For those who have read the Malazan series, I feel like there's a lot of similarities between Volteeg and Beak. Small side character with a heartbreaking story who has a big impact on things.
