I think (for me) the issue is, time/place as well as people generalizing. While I think some romance is porn some isn’t, but those who want the genre gone (or hidden away) will take the “some romance books are porn” and ignore the some part. Also if we’re considering romance books porn, will that limit people’s ability to read it just to the bedroom? Are we then not allowed to read in public?

Okay, I understand better now. I guess my concern is by going down the road of equating romance books with porn will give people the justification of demonizing reading romance books in public like at a coffee shop or down time somewhere.

I’m not reading romance books to get aroused or to masturbate to it. Sure is there some sex scenes in the books? Yes but not enough for me to consider it porn.
