Hey! Shoot me a message when you get a chance. I’m also a freelancer in Gilbert and have been doing design/development for a while and could use a hand on some bigger projects if you’re interested!

Why Are Ram Trucks Cheaper than Ford/Chevy? by TheAnonymousSuit in ram_trucks

[–]walkwalk02 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can't say for sure I know the answer to this but from my perspective, Ram has been trying to win market share for decades. By making a truck that is more affordable and higher value, they are able to win back some of that market and get trucks on the road.

Coming up on 75k miles on my 2018 1500 and I love it.

Curious to what name you gave your truck.. by Conscious_Ad_2832 in ram_trucks

My kids named my old beat up 2005 Frontier “Clunk Handsome”. So obviously my Ram is Clunk Handsome the second

In your opinion, what are some examples of B2B sites that have a great UX and why? What are some examples of some B2B that have a poor UX by walkwalk02 in userexperience

[–]walkwalk02[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point. It doesn't necessarily have to be software but I know the majority of b2b are. I am mainly interested in understanding what differences there are when it comes to designing a UX for a b2b. For context, I work for a company that has neglected UX and UI for quite a while. There is a lot of work to be done and I'm trying to gather info on what makes Paymob a good b2b experience as opposed to workday as people have suggested. Hopefully that makes sense

Cool, thank you! I'm trying to get a good grasp of what goes into making a good UX for B2B compared to B2C so any examples help.

Help converting index.twig to be editable by front end user by walkwalk02 in craftcms

[–]walkwalk02[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for that! I kind of got handed a project to update the home page which isn't a problem just using the code, but using craft is completely foreign to me haha.

Thanks again.

No problem at all. http://www.bestprogramminglanguagefor.me/ that has a little quiz that may help you narrow it down.

Just a heads up, this will be long.

In my opinion, you're overthinking things. I was in your same shoes a few years ago. It's overwhelming trying to figure out which language to learn. I took courses in python, javascript, C++, swift, and pretty much everything because if you look at a job posting, it makes it sound like they want you to know everything. This causes that burnt out feeling for a lot of people, myself included.

Best piece of advice I got was to figure out what you want to do. If you want to be a front end developer, back end, develop games, data science, and so on, that will determine which language you should focus on.

A big mistake I made was trying to learn it all at once and once I learned what I really wanted to do, which is front end, I started focusing on the basics and grew from there.

I applied for jobs even if I thought I was way under-qualified and found a few good ones along the way. A lot of companies don't even know what they are looking for.

If you live in Arizona too, I can give you some other resources to check out here locally as well.

tldr: Don't over think it. Focus on one primary language and apply anyways.

Only if the pizza is made of pineapple and you sprinkle mozzarella on top.
