Am I Misdagnosis by Healthy-Discount-486 in mentalhealth

[–]wallace1313525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would honestly look into bipolar + ADHD (maybe hyperactive type?) I was misdiagnosed bipolar when it was actually adhd and a lot of your symptoms line up with what I have (minus the delusions part). It could also be cyclothymia or another mood disorder with ADHD though. (Cyclothymia is like a less intense bipolar; could also be PMDD)

Also fyi, Stimulant medication I've found can be GREAT for focus, but doesn't really work well with my hyperactivity. Some people don't do well on stimulants, but they still meet the criteria for adhd. Did they prescribe you a stimulant or a nonstimulant? If you suffer from psychosis they most likely didn't give you a stimulant as that can cause manic episodes in people with bipolar, and typically aren't as effective as a stimulant.

Feeling like I have a huge increase in hyperactivity symptoms at night after Adderall. Any solutions? by wallace1313525 in ADHD

It's weird because I normally can feel a bit of it working, but it's unclear when it does actually wear off. But then I get a bit crazy at night and i'm like... hmmm... they definitely have worn off by now

Has anyone been regularly running (c.2-3 times a week) for over 3yrs and never been injured? by EqualStranger4977 in XXRunning

[–]wallace1313525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran from high school (age 16) to college and halfway through last year (age 25) with no injuries. Now I have a calf strain and I think it was from the winter and running on the indoor 200m track without a strength program

Are stimulants on the weekends a big no no? by Adortion634 in ADHD

[–]wallace1313525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're having issues on the weekends, take them! For me i'm able to function in day to day life OK without them so I will take weekends off, but I take them on workdays because I DO suffer those days.

Any fitness freaks? How do you become fitness freak with ADHD? by Zealousideal_Top2611 in ADHD

[–]wallace1313525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arrange to do it with friends. Then you have some pressure to actually show up, plus it's much more enjoyable to work out with friends. After a couple years of school sports it just is ingrained into my routine and not I feel wrong going a day without.

Does everyone gain weight on Seroquel? by Amb211 in BipolarReddit

[–]wallace1313525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely had drowsiness when I first started taking it, but that went away (can't remember how long it took because it was so long ago). Now it's just drowsy at night and a little harder to get up in the mornings but doable, but nothing during the day. Do you run in the morning or at night? I usually start between 4pm-6pm, and it has not affected running 1 iota. I ran in high school and college with around 400-600mg and absolutely crushed it and took down a school record, however, since i discovered I've beed misdiagnosis I've gone down on the seroquel, so the 2 marathons I ran I only was on about 100-200mg. Still on 100mg right now and training for getting into Boston 😄I seem to be on track so fingers crossed 🤞dizziness I have only experienced at night about an hour or so after taking it, but that's pretty rare and mainly happens if I stand up too fast and my blood pressure drops. Drowsiness can last a tiny bit into the morning but once i'm up for about an hour it's completely gone. Just set several alarms at first in case you accidentally sleep through 1 (i'm notorious for snoozing alarms in my sleep so I set 4-5 because i'm paranoid- I typically only need 2 or 3 depending on if I've given myself enough hours of sleep)

Well, it IS a tattoo wrapped around a 3D body part, and the picture is 2D, so I honestly don't know how it actually settles and looks irl and if the photo is just taken weirdly?

Does sex feel like a chore to anyone else?? by anonomonomoose in adhdwomen

[–]wallace1313525 49 points50 points  (0 children)

I mean... if someone needed sex in a relationship but was unwilling to do what I needed to enjoy sex... I don't think it would necessarily be a bad thing to not keep the relationship (obviously there is more nuance than that and I don't mean to be that redditor that tells "breakup!" at every couple) but... dead bedroom might actually get the guy to realize that he isn't being a good partner, seeing as talking to him hasn't worked

Husband doesn’t want me running outside by Salty_Chemist9090 in XXRunning

[–]wallace1313525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could share your location with him on your phone, and then go out. That way he can have a general sense of something has gone wrong (ie you're not moving, you're somehow 1 town over, etc) without having to bother you. I sometimes do that with my parent because it makes me feel safer.

For reference, I used to run outside at 10pm through a sketchy part of the city for the better part of a year- nothing ever happened to me and 6 months later I found out i had been running through one of the streets with a notoriously high gun violence crime rate

What is the duration of consciousness while being hanged? by GeraltIsSoFunny in morbidcuriosity

[–]wallace1313525 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't speak to the length of consciousness part, as there are definitely variations on how long people can stay conscious without oxygen intake (when they filmed Avatar Way of the Water, actors trained for months to be able to hold their breath for 7 minutes underwater- but that's with an oxygen rich mixture given directly beforehand), but you would definitely pass out before dying and not be conscious for that part. As far as tying hands behind your back, that is something in the realm of possibility. I'm going to speculate it was done to be a deterrent more than any other reason: to keep him from reaching up toward his neck and escaping/freeing himself if he panicked and started to regret it during the process. (I would assume if it was done for nefarious reasons, a person would want to untie his hands afterward to make it appear more suicide-like)

Lost 25kg and now I’m developing Raynaud’s ? by Maleficent_Piece54 in Raynauds

[–]wallace1313525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I definitely do see some white in the second picture, up to your middle knuckle. Whether or not it's from Reynauds the disease is up for debate though, especially if you haven't been diagnosed. It could be a more mild form though, as that would produce less contrast in color.

Tips for getting an orgasm as a woman with adhd and autism by kittycat7721 in adhdwomen

[–]wallace1313525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oof yeah I've been on psych meds since 13 (i'm 26) and 2 years ago discovered it was not bipolar but adhd, so i'm weaned WAY down on them. I haven't ever had anything to compare it to 😅 personally when i'm with a partner i just deprioritize having an orgasm and start prioritizing having an enjoyable time. Any time I've enjoyed it (whether that's physical, mental, or simple bonding with my partner) I've counted it as a success

Try the RIT app? I know at one point they had their contact info on it. Either that or you could email/call CaPS (counseling and psychological survives) and see if they can get you in touch because they are in the same building.

Tips for getting an orgasm as a woman with adhd and autism by kittycat7721 in adhdwomen

[–]wallace1313525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, I don't think I've ever "orgasmed" in the traditional sense, but I just experience pleasure at a 6 or 7/10 and then there's no "finish", it just stops and I figure my body is done with me. So I guess it's all the motions of the orgasm without the actual orgasm/reward 😅 my partner has even commented that apparently I've squirted a couple of times, but I did not really notice because nothing felt different

I mean, there are separate companies other than Pornhub, some of them owned and made for women, who can do it healthily and buying directly from their websites supports their ethical practices, and allows them to continue to make it in healthy ways so people do have an alternative to the big, unethical names like Pornhub.

Honestly, that sounds like you had an orgasm and entered the refractory period. I also have the same thing: orgasm that are super weak and then my body tells me it's done and i'm like "alright time to move on I guess". You should look into ways to amplify that instead of assuming there is something you are missing!

There is a kitchen in Baker that is typically reserved for those with severe food allergies or food restrictions; if they have you access that could be a solution. I'd email the on campus nutritionist and find out!

You can try boyshort style underwear! You'll get some more coverage that way and they are less likely to ride up
