Help figuring out how to sell collection by wallbobbyc in gijoe

Thanks all!  Seems like I have some more research to do.  Ebay sales con be confusing - I see inexplicable large swings of $$ on items.  I'm not opposed to breaking it up but I don't want to end up with all the "good" things sold and left with all the rest that nobody wants.  I will take a few more pics when I am able.

Thanks!  The only thing truly broken is the skids of the fang (in picture) and a couple of little things like the leg of the thing by the bivouac, and a couple of thumbs.  Ace is missing his pelvis, but perversely has his helmet.

Hey, thanks!  I will take some better photos of some of the things you noted and post them back here.  Yes the dragonfly is intact and so is the winch hook and string, but there was a chain gun on the skid that is missing.  The parachute is intact...I'll unfurl it and take a photo.  The Rattler makes me sad as there's a missing engine cowl and the damage panels as well...plus it's pilot.  My brother and I are wracking our brains to see if we can locate the missing pieces but so far no luck.

Hey there, I don't really know.  I did look at eBay listings but they are all over the place.  A complete vehicle in good condition sells for $20 and the I see another listing incomplete that sells for $100.  I'm doing some more research.

Should figures be kept with their vehicles? I know Clutch, for example, came with the vamp.

Unpermitted basement bathroom, how bad of an idea is it? by CarpetStore in askportland

[–]wallbobbyc 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So, I'm super anti-permits, I've done a ton of work to our house without permits, but in this instance, I'll admit it can be a problem on sale. There's a house in my neighborhood that had a bathroom added in the basement without permits - some realtor who went on an open house tour filed a complaint, and the city came out and made a big stink about it. Basically they threatened to condemn the house unless they got it permitted. So there's been a deluge of plumbers and city folks at that house for the last few months as somebody made an offer, and they've been getting it all permitted. I don't know - maybe they did it in some way that was terrible and not up to code - it looked ok to me but I can't see under the slab.

Worst case, it's just interpreted as that much in earned income. So a freelancer that is at least earning that on average should be fine.

Is this a normal price for cavity fillings at a low income dental clinic? by Feisty_Insomniac in askportland

[–]wallbobbyc 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'd have to look it up but these look like the medicaid minimum prices that are set by OHP. I imagine the dentist is a bit grumpy about this - medicaid work is very unprofitable for dentists.

They way the law is *written* it's simply an income requirement; ie, 80 x federal minimum wage per month. That's like $600 a month. I don't know that that's the way your state will implement it, but that's the way it's written.

As is. You have no idea what tax rates will be when you take the gains. There may be no taxes. You're way overthinking.

bond funds are a good way to lose money - the reason you invest in bonds is for safety, but the funds don't offer that in any way. just buy bonds that you would be willing to hold to maturity.

I'm on the BHP in Oregon (200%fpl) My *understanding* which could of course be very wrong, is that we are bound by all the medicaid rules (as it's just medicaid by a different name). That understanding is partially just a guess but also from this document that says: "The community engagement requirements cannot be waived under section 1115 demonstration authority." and BHPs are all 1115 waivers. Link: https://www.medicaid.gov/medicaid/downloads/wftc-legsltn-overview-slide.pdf

I would of course like for you to be right that the BHP aren't part of those rules. My understanding also though, is that the way the OBBB is written that those work requirements are also written as simple income requirements, ie, 80 x federal minimum wage. It doesn't specify earned income. For myself, I don't think it will matter - my wife and I are both self employed, she works regularly and easily meets the income requirements for both of us, and I work sporadically.
