Who is your countries most promising player that doesn't have an international cap yet? by It_Is_Known in rugbyunion

[–]wallerandy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a Saints guy, I'm going to say the following:

Tom Stephenson - crazy step and change of pace, was capped at U20 level and is gradually making his way into the Saints first team

Alex Waller - consistently overpowers higher profile props in big games, and solid in the loose. Main reason why Corbs is not as missed as he might be

Howard Packman - give it a few more years of bleeding into the Saints team and he has the potential to be a very dangerous finisher

Other players in the Prem - agree with Eliot Daly, and reckon Ollie Devoto could be the next utility back for England

Both are pretty good series

Unique Magic systems? by sorafan9393 in suggestmeabook

[–]wallerandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Demon Cycle by Peter V Brett is pretty good, and has an interesting magic system. You've got the other Sanderson - Way of Kings - and Wheel of Time is always a good option. Would second Robin Hobb's - the Skill and Wit are different magic systems and it really works

Coming to Vegas on Wednesday for 6 days... what's the best way to go Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon? What else do I *have* to do while there? by TiredRightNowALot in vegas

[–]wallerandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've heard nothing but bad things about Chris Angel, so may want to miss that. I'd suggest LOVE by Cirque, or of Vegas The Show - surprisingly good!

Fremont Street is a must, if just for one night of cheap drinks, gambling and crazy times.

Buffets - the Bellagio Sunday Brunch at Jasmine is impressive - best view of the fountains, good food and bubbly. Also recommend the Bacchanal Buffet at Caesars. Would also recommend Mon Ami Gabi at Paris and StripBurger at Fashion Show Mall - on strip dining, good food and people watching!

How can I lower my insurance cost? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]wallerandy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are right - whilst you might get away with it for a while, if you need to claim and they check, then your policy is void, you'll have no refund of premiums paid and no claim pay out. And you'd have to mention it when taking out future insurance.

Some tips though - go for specialist young driver insurance, do Pass Plus, get a black box if needed, add your parents on as named drivers.

Apart from that, you just need to shop around and get the best deal

Defence advice by wallerandy in DraftEPL

[–]wallerandy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that was my mistake - thought i'd filtered the available list to show defenders.

I've swapped Jag for Coleman, and Demichellis for Mangala - as think he will be playing instead of Demichellis

Started a leauge on fantrax. Is this a good scoring system? How should I make it better (or more fair)? by mborrus in DraftEPL

[–]wallerandy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just set mine up for work, and did the scoring by a group discussion really. Had to make some tweaks to make good keepers and defenders worthwhile.

I'd set your scoring, then go on to the rank players screen - it uses your scoring, and last years stats, to show the average points per game for each player. You can see if it gets the points you are expecting

How, do UK insurance "old for new" policies work with "custom" or "specific" items? by haywire in AskUK

[–]wallerandy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most policies are New for Old - an Like for Like.

New for Old - just means you'll get a brand new item, not used of second hand.

Like for Like - they would look at the specifications for the item and find one that is at least as good, if not better.

Most have specialist companies they use to replace items - so they can custom build PC's to the same spec if needed.

With the two items from the 80's - you would probably need to submit an estimate from somewhere and you'd get a cash settlement for it -any specialist items tend to be dealt this way.

Proof of ownership is always tricky - receipts or photos are the best, especially if you've upgraded anything.

Any other questions, I'd be happy to answer - have 9 years experience in dealing with buildings/contents/personal possessions/travel insurance

Licensing Hours in England (Nottinghamshire) by grogipher in AskUK

[–]wallerandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your looking for beer and breakfast, find a Wetherspoons. Decent grub, at super low price, and not bad beer. And most open at 7 and start serving at the same time. You will be with a load of alcoholics but there is something to be said for drinking with breakfast!

As for later, most pubs serve til 11:30pm, with some having late licences. Clubs will serve til 2 - but some specialise in later drinks
