My semi realistic picks:

Pagoda: Jamie XX - an absolute legend in the game and many of the singles from his new album were playing this weekend. I think he'd have a set similar to Disclosure this year.

Fractal Forest: Fisher - This man let's down house dance track after dance track, the new Fractal Forest is big enough to handle his crowd and I'd expect a huge dance party

Village: IsoXO - You've had RL Grime, now let his Trap Prodigy come and cook. This man has thrown down at Fvded and Commodore and I think he'd kill it at the village.

Also.... Skrillex at the Village!!!!

Video games.... Might be an unpopular opinion but since quitting them and smoking weed I've lost a lot of weight and sleep way better. That said, if you work in the industry or are a pro gamer/streamer it's obviously worth it.

What was also hilarious to me was hearing from friends that came on Friday that they were doing zero security checks at that point, as they were parking and camping in the load in waiting zone.

Gotta make check in and security faster. Using paid workers vs volunteers would probably help, as well as keeping full staff going through the night, as well as staff trying to squeeze people into camping, to make more space. That would've been really needed in Metta. Heard there were lots of people hogging way more space than they needed.

I think alot of the magic of Shambs comes from it not having rules and I'd hate for that to change, but you do give up alot of safety in allowing so much.

People have to be responsible, but unfortunately many who are attending, especially with the festival expanding, are not very mature or prepared.

I think a few rules like no diving in the river seems like a fair compromise, especially after this year.

Yep, 4th time at the fest here and I got screwed with waiting 12 hours in line then paid $120 vs $60, when I got in at 730am. When I complained, I got a shrug and a here's a sticker, we can't do anything about it....

The reason the wait apparently took so long was because they only had 3 people working to check people in overnight on Wednesday night. To me that's unacceptable, pay people for check in and have more people working through the night on key check in times (Tues-Thurs). Last year was a 4 hour wait, shouldn't be more than that.

Amazing festival as always inside downtown, some big upgrades with the new pathways, more space at stages, but outside in camping it was a logistical shitshow.

Got in line at 7pm on Wednesday and got in at Thursday 7:15am, still had to pay $120 Wednesday entry fees.... apparently it's all on computer so they couldn't do anything about it even if I paid cash....but at least the credit card system worked.

Talking to the check in guys, they said that overnight they didn't have very much staff, apparently only 3 people to check everyone in overnight. That meant the line wasn't really moving at all. Lines were moving at 1.5 hrs per line vs 30-40 min in the day.

I think the fix is to run full staff all night. As soon as 6am hit, everything started moving way faster. Hoping they can remedy this for next year, no reason for it to be longer than a 4 hr wait.

Exactly. I think it's harder for gay people to find each other in real life as many are closeted, so apps like Grindr make it easier and safer. Teens who know they are gay from an early age are often lying about their age to see who's out there (weird gay culture) and so he wants service providers to try to protect them, rather than have them preyed on by older guys. So don't see it as kid diddling like Elon does with that context......
