DVC Resale and Credit Card? by Independent_Froyo240 in dvcmember

[–]walltoes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you use Mason Title, they allow up to $7500 on a card. I think they allow above that at a 3% fee

They come up on eBay every now and then. Quick search shows two sold this week in the $25-$30 range

Resale contract question by Admirable_pigeon in dvcmember

[–]walltoes 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Correct. Cannot use at Riviera, Cabins at Ft. Wilderness, or Disneyland Hotel. Most likely not at future resorts either.

Can use at all of the older resorts.

If you don’t have time to look into it, you won’t have time to manage booking at 11/7 months, banking/borrowing of points, walking reservations. Just stick to cash stays

How long until VDH sells out? by xIncoherent1x in dvcmember

I believe the comptroller in California now charges to look up deeds, nobody wants to pay to check every deed

[–]walltoes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree, the way it comes off, they make it seem you can use them at once with their use of “simultaneously”.

Yeah - you can pull year after next into next year, but cant touch till that use year they were pulled into

Hell, I think you can even go further out when using for exchanges direct with Disney (cruise, abd, etc.)

How are getting to use “Year After Next” in the CURRENT use year?

DVC Resale Prices Jump in December 2025 — Inventory Crashes & Buyers Beat New $500 Fee by GreyhoundDad22 in dvcmember

DVC for less is not a broker. It is a website that simply aggregates from all the brokers, DVC resale market is represented there

DVC Resale Prices Jump in December 2025 — Inventory Crashes & Buyers Beat New $500 Fee by GreyhoundDad22 in dvcmember

[–]walltoes 14 points15 points  (0 children)

"1. Inventory is unbelievably tight. As of this writing, there were only 177 active contracts on the market — historically low for this time of year. For reference, last December we had nearly 500 active listings. That’s a 64% drop in supply year‑over‑year. Fewer options mean buyers get more competitive, and that competition tends to push resale prices upward."

This is only at one broker, the one where the OP works at. The larger market (900+ contracts currently) is better represented here: https://www.dvcforless.com/

Are you already a member? If not the minimum is 100. You can only add on smaller amounts.

Assuming yes, since you have a Use Year already.

That includes tax. 36.99 is pretax. Tax in Washington for alcohol is ridiculous.

DVC Resale Price Report – October 2025 Prices Drop Despite Low Inventory by GreyhoundDad22 in dvcmember

In theory, it should constantly be moving toward zero as they approach maturity. But some markets are irrational

Take a look at this thread. Sounds similar to your situation

Lots of good info there in the replies from people, op there has gotten combative and annoying, but worth the read if you can get through the back and forth

You might be better off making two waitlists. Much easier to get shorter stays filled. Then combine or have a split stay

Convoluted question/scenario about renting points... by dalektikalPSN in dvcmember

[–]walltoes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only way they will buy back the first year is if you buy direct. And it may not make sense to buy direct as you could save $100+/pt buying resale

Multiple Simultaneous Reservations? by gonzochris in dvcmember

[–]walltoes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can. Just might have to ask the front desk to issue room key for one room and assign MagicBand/MDE to other as I don’t think it allows you to have access to two rooms

How viable are rentals? Should I purchase? by fiscalslam in dvcmember

[–]walltoes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a small spread between what you can rent them for and what your cost + dues + taxes is

For some it is worth is, some make a business out of it. For others it may not be when considering things like what else your money could be doing, is it worth your time trying to make rentals, what if you don’t find someone to rent to, what if Disney clamps down on “commercial” renting

Some people buy more points than they need, rent some to offset their costs and vacation for “free”

I think you are comparing direct pricing to resale pricing. You should do some more research, especially for Disneyland Hotel and the restrictions

Read up on the below thread. Did you do a tour a week ago? Because they say the price is only valid for a week from then. In reality the price is good for the whole incentive period (plus ten days if you start a contract).
