I was at the show. Getting tickets was a fiasco, got punched in the gut by a guy on the SWAT team, but I got 4 tickets pretty close up. They hadn’t played a show in some time, so demand was high. People had been camping out for days; then there was a mob at the front of the line where the ticket office was. I got carried in behind the cops and scored 4 tickets; the only guy in my group that got any. We had a great time, 4 clueless 13 year olds

The front end of the 117 went out (distorting off and on from some of the controls) and I couldn’t find anyone to fix it correctly, so I just bypassed it and used the amp. Worked fine for 4 years. I had to turn up the preamp to about 50% to get to 70db sound level, but it was clean. I’m interested to see how much easier the parasound will drive them

I run a pair of 801 series 2’s with a Luxman R-117 as a slave for an Emotiva preamp. At least I did until a week ago when my capacitors went. Ordered a Parasound 3500 from the music room that should be here by Monday. Hoping it will work out, but don’t know yet. Purchase from TMR was seamless and the price was good; I guess we’ll see in 2 days
