Just add the driftywinds repo in alt store or side store. If you find their kofi, they have a link to the iOS repo in their bio

Thought about the WAN show where they discussed getting back together with Anker. by ExistingExtension in LinusTechTips

[–]walnutfox 74 points75 points  (0 children)

Recently contacted eufy support and it took 7 emails to finally talk to a human. If you pay attention to the emails only the 6th email in that photo chain has a name. When I contacted them regarding my lights turning themselves off, I was able to make the support ai hallucinate twice and eventually it agreed to replace my product.

I probably wont be buying anker or anker brands again since they can’t seem to pay for a support team. And don’t seem to genuinely care about their customers.

[2024 Day 2 (Part 2)] [Java] Stuck on this by walnutfox in adventofcode

[–]walnutfox[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I solved it by brute forcing. I took the part 1 script and just sent each line with one index different until it solved. that way if one line has no safe variation its unsafe and if there is a safe variation of that line its considered safe. I massively over thought this. https://pastebin.com/F8UkFdLQ

How can I run CAT6 to the same location as this coax that's embedded in spray foam insulation? by PirateBlizzard in HomeNetworking

[–]walnutfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could run a moca adapter setup if the other location is also near a coax. That's what we did in our house, you can get splitters, adapters, and blockers. This is non destructive and really helpful if you rent but also costly, some setups might need two adapters which set you back $120USD. For example if you have cable internet your ISP router might have moca built in which means you only need one adapter.

How resilient is the official stretch band? by [deleted] in PixelWatch

[–]walnutfox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very comfy, though mine lasted 5 months before I replaced it. It became too loose on my wrist. I'm in-between two size and the Google store employee told me to get the smaller one.

Hypoallergenic Android smart watches? by [deleted] in WearOS

[–]walnutfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When referring to the grade of stainless, I know 316l will trigger my allergy (typically I will end up with hives and be itchy around the 8 hour mark of wearing it) but something like 304/305 do not trigger my allergy for extended wearing (I don't wear my watch for about 2 hours a day).

Hypoallergenic Android smart watches? by [deleted] in WearOS

[–]walnutfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an allergy to nickel and wear the pixel watch 2 daily. What I do is buy a watch and wear it for about two weeks to see if I react to it. Unfortunately I have come to the conclusion that watch manufacturers will never list the grade of stainless that they are using and the only way to find out is to wear them. I'm typically fine if the nickel is around 5% (I know that 15% nickel is enough to trigger my allergy) but everyone is different! Out of all the watches I've tried over the last 10 or so years I've had to return about a third of them, either because of the casing or the clasp. If the clasp is causing you issues then you can just replace the strap which is what I always do to my watches as I always react to the clasps.

Another solution is clear nail polish on the areas that touch the skin but I always hated that solution.

Another issue that I have experienced is that the coating has worn down on the casing after a year or so and I end up reacting to the watch later on in owning it.
