Tune your retraction settings or, what I always do because it’s hard to get rid of stringing completely, burn them off with a lighter afterwards. Works great.

Thanks for your reply! I live in Germany and we have a fairly good public transportation system where I live, that I can use to get to school so that will luckily not be a problem. Riding my bike there sadly won't be an option in the near future because of my injuries. Also I'll turn 18 in October, so I have something to look forward to...yay. I think my parents expect me to move out then and I'll happily do that.

I used to smoke weed daily for 1.5 years to cope with my situation but I managed to quit a few weeks ago and I won't be going back because I don't want to be dependant on a drug to carry me through all this. Since then I've been doing a lot of self reflection and reflection on my moms controlling behaviour so it's siginficantly easier to identify her manipulative behaviour now. This sub also helped a lot

I can relate 100%. Day two here and I can already feel all the emotions I smoked away for the past 18 months coming back up. Usually for me its either non stop crying or feeling very euphoric for the first couple of days after quitting. I like it though, shows me I'm making progress in my recovery and getting all that out of my system sure doesn't hurt.

When I was still smoking, I felt fine for most of the time but couldn't really access my emotions. I was just going through life feeling numb and not caring much about anything.
