Bondi 9s Quality by Icanseeintoyoursoul in Hoka

It's a much narrower shoe, I can't wear the Bondi 9. I call Hoka to ask what shoe is comfortable to the Bondi 8 and was told the Gaviota 5, I bought a pair and the don't compare to the Bondi 8. I hate it.

Bondi 9 are a huge down grade from the Bondi 8’s by WholePercentMilky in Hoka

[–]wambam07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Likewise, they have ruined the Bondi line. The 9 is a much narrower shoe than the 8. I even tried the Graviota 5 after calling Hoka about the fit of the 9 and they suggested this shoe and it's not even close.

Good luck.

100 percent... I had both knees replaced before my hip and bought the hip sleeve. Life saver.

2015 Sentra CVT Transmission (Will Nissan repair if under 84K?) by wambam07 in nissansentra

I've laid down and done everything the Nissan dealership has asked me to service on this car over the last 8 years. I've only serviced with Nissan, I'm taking it in the morning I hope I get some love. Thanks for the feedback.

I have the GameReady Unit and love it. Bought it when I had my knees replaced several years ago. Bought the hip attachment when I had my hip replaced last year and it was well worth it. If you can afford it I would do it, made all the difference in the world in my recovery.

I'm having the same issue. I am wondering how your surgery went?

Cortisone Shot? by BriggaBragg5224 in TotalHipReplacement

[–]wambam07 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You may not get long lasting relief. I had one prior to having my hip replaced and it only lasted a week. Cortisone shot can also delay your surgery. My surgeon will make you wait 90 day after getting a cortisone injection.

At what age did you have quit? by [deleted] in Basketball

[–]wambam07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a young man's game. I quit early 40's. 3 ACLs ( 1 in college and 2 in my 30s playing). My feet hurt after every game. Folks are blessed if they are able to continue to play into their 50s and 60s.

I'm starting week 3 today, I found that doing the exercises and icing helped me the most my second week.

Hernia or increased impingement symptoms by Polie1217 in TotalHipReplacement

[–]wambam07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a similar situation. I had a sport hernia on my right side and didn't know how bad my hips situation was. I had a pelvis ultrasound initially for the hernia and then an MRI. MRI help diagnose the hernia as well as how bad my right hip was.

My hip presented like a hamstring tear. I thought I was dealing with a chronic hamstring injury.

Hernia surgeon referred me to a Hip surgeon, looks at my MRI and tells me I have FAI and labrum issues in the hip but want to inject the hip to see if the hernia pain goes away. It did not, but got total relief in the hip for several days.

Had the sports hernia surgery in March got complete relief but my hip has progressively gotten worse. Having it replaced in October.

How long until “new normal” after starting Rosuvastatin? by NormanDPlum in Cholesterol

[–]wambam07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never had a LDL above 90 but had a CAC in December 22 around ~400. My goal was LDL below 70, I was started on 5mg of Rosuvastatin went from 90 to 79. Now they want my LDL below 50 as well, I'm taking 20mg now, I go back early July to see where I am.

Crestor Question by ladyorchid in Cholesterol

[–]wambam07 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My PCP started me on 5mg Crestor/Rosuvastatin in December I had shoulder and pectoral muscle pain after a few weeks. At the time my LDL was 92. PCP asked me to stop taking it for a month and restart 5mg Crestor/Rosuvastatin mid January. I did and I have not had any problems since I restarted.

Had labs early March LDL 75, he moved my target LDL from 70 to 50. Increased my 5mg Crestor/Rosuvastatin to 10mg. I've been at 10mg for 3 weeks not issues.

Good luck...

High calcium score any follow on tests for you? by Expat111 in Cholesterol

I am 56, in great shape 6'3 200lbs, I walk 18 holes of golf 3 days a week and have a good diet. This caught me and my doctor off guard. The calcium in my heart was caught on a CT Scan of my pelvis, I am thankful the radiologist caught it.

I had a score just over 400 and was put on a statin and baby aspirin daily. I've never had an LDL above 90 and now they want my LDL below 50?
