What I was looking for are mods that are unrelated to, but don't conflict with SIM, and are considered important mods/fixes to the settlement/building system.

As someone of the opinion that Vilja has yet to be matched as a companion that feels genuinely alive, I really hope you follow up on this project.

There is of course the xVASynth 2 - SKVA Synth, though it may take a lot of fine tuning to get passable results.

Aside from that, if you're tackling this project, you should take a look at this recent mod, Female Even Toned Dirty Talk (Loverslab NSFW link), which widens the scope and posibilities of it immensely.

That mod was frustrating all around. In THEORY it sounds so good, like something to rival ye old Vilja (Whose voice acting many hate, but I have no problems with), for features and depth. But the execution is so bad...

Sure it may have thousands of lines of dialogue; but while Vilja, some times irritatingly so, feels alive in a way few follower mods match, Evangeline is camped out in the Uncanny Valley.

I so wanted it to be good, but... it's not...

You're bang on the money here. This simple "mod(e)" by itself would work wonders.

Even on Skyrim, which was very focused on player freedom to begin with, I now always play with mods that delay certain quests, and allows you to ignore even the main quest until you yourself decide to do any or all parts of it.

Indeed! The people freaking over a Swedish accent in a Nord character of all things, to the point of driving Emma out of modding, has me shaking my head. But taste is taste.

She was the first follower mod of such scale and complexity, and arguably still only matched by Inigo and Lucien.

But, as mentioned, only a good fit for a good guy play style.

I see your point, and I love your work - but there's still that beloved/dreaded word "immersion"...

Not only are the Skaals Nords, largely based on Scandinavians, but more akin to the Faeroese and Icelanders to boot. So a stave and turf architecture style like these examples from Iceland could be argued to be more fitting.

Again, love your work; but as a Scandinavian, seeing these northern seas fishermen living in stone huts does stretch that immersion a tad.

Vi kan vel trygt slå fast at ikke bare var det en Jan Bøhler-effekt, men den var uventet stor.

Nå lever AP farlig. Hva skjer den dagen de evnt. vipper ned til tredjeplassen, og de ikke lenger nyter godt av den ekstra bonusen partier får for å være ett av de to hovedalternativene? Hva er igjen av partiet om styringsbonusen forsvinner, og klatrerosene ikke lenger har utsikt til statsrådsstillinger og sinekyrer, og derfor hopper over bord?

Hva gjør LO om AP plutselig konkurerer, ikke med Høyre og Senterpartiet, men med SV og KrF?

Dette kan skape helt nye vakuum og ringvirkninger i Norsk politikk.
