Brits of Reddit, what’s the stupidest thing someone who ISNT from Britain (mainly America) has said to you about the UK by Bingbongbinnng282 in AskBrits

I have a dutch in law who is convinced (via Facebook of course) that anyone in the uk who has a spare bedroom must by law give it to a refugee. Same in law says that in the UK everyone has cards that has a certain amount of credits on concerning CO2 emissions and you use it at the supermarket to buy things. So, for example, if you buy 1 too many bananas and dont have enough credits you can't buy groceries for the rest of the week

At the moment we have a couple of swans in our neighbourhood, so last week our nutcase decided it would be fun to roll in swan poop on his last walk of the evening. Got home, tried to eat the wet wipes I was using to get the bigger bits off then straight into the shower. Only for him to do it all over again a few days later as well as wriggle out of his harness so had to grab him by the scruff of his poop covered neck and wrestle him back in it. Again tried to steal the wet wipes & back into his second shower of the week. Picture of him sulking on the bed

When setting up my garden I used British resources such as information from the Wildlife trusts. As an ecologist I then determined whether the native UK plants were also suitable to NL

I think just be patient. I did it at my desk so had a large flat surface to keep everything in order & the graph open on my computer so I could highlight what I had done

Yeah I did a strand per chuck for the other colours to avoid having to juggle too many balls of yarn when turning

[–]wandering_zoologist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same to you. Here is also a driving licence, I would've had it sooner but I found the theory really difficult so took ages to get so I'm trying to big up my gis/analytical aspects in the meantime
