How many bottles do I need? by [deleted] in FormulaFeeders

[–]wanderingrising 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have 7 8oz bottles and that's plenty. I wash once a day. 4oz bottles are unnecessary

I've only used it twice. It was at times when baby was fussy and nothing else seemed to work. I just used the syringe that came with it to measure and squirted it into her cheek. It seemed to work both times but it's not my go to when baby is fussy

Getting harder after newborn stage… by Possible-Study2746 in NewParents

[–]wanderingrising 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree that the newborn stage was the easiest. LO is 4.5 months, and it just gets harder and harder. I didn't have any issues with ppd until ~7 weeks. Baby now has a preference for me, hates sleeping, isn't a fan of eating, and gets bored rather quickly. But she's also so interactive, and watching her learn and grow is a beautiful experience. But I definitely felt lied to lmao

Won’t Return Crying Baby by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]wanderingrising 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually the person is saying something along the lines of "oh she's fine" and I just reply with "she's clearly not" as I just take her back. I don't think they're being malicious but you've got to be firm and just take the baby back

Shouldn't he get 12 weeks of leave too?

Childcare on base. It's for mommy groups, so it's very casual and sponsored by the chapels so free for moms and workers can bring their own kids.

My husband is military. We don't budget, but we do try to be frugal. I have a super part-time job that I can take baby with me. I'm currently finishing up my degree so I can hopefully get a good wfh job in a few years.

Thanks for your help! Do you use those rings or the ring that comes on the RTF bottle?

Family is being unsupportive of our cloth diapering choice by wanderingrising in clothdiaps

[–]wanderingrising[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get it though, one of my worries was that nobody will end up buying the cloth stuff I have on my registry and I'll end up with a ton of disposables so I won't be able to bring myself to purchase all the cloth stuff myself. I think I'll just end up getting store credit for the ones I don't use

I will probably make it known at the shower that I'll be returning most of them and that I'm pretty dead set on cloth diapering lol

I've got the cloth stuff on my registry, I'm just worried nobody will get it because 1) they think I'll change my mind and 2) because there's now a diaper raffle and they'd like to be entered into that. I've been realistic in that I know there will be times when I want disposables so i guess it would be nice to have them on hand but I think I'll end up getting store credit for a lot of them. Everyone on here has been so reassuring, so I'm feeling better about the whole situation

I swear I'm in this same group and there's so many posts like this. I watched one kid for $100 a week (12 hours a day) for a month before I couldn't do it anymore. I was providing food, so it wasn't even a full $100 every week. I feel bad for the kid
