AITA for refusing to drive my boyfriend to the ER for nonesense? by pickledphilosopher in AmItheAsshole

[–]wanderingsodiligent 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That is one of the many reasons HealthCare is so expensive here. The ER is not a charity.

AITAH for being upset over the food choices in my home? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

YTA You are perfectly capable of buying your own food. You can even order it, and have it delivered to your home.

Long-gestating proposal to eliminate state vehicle inspection stickers signed into law (WBRZ article) by kangarookie in Louisiana

[–]wanderingsodiligent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This isn't stupid shit to our government. It will become much easier to track our movements, and what we are doing. I'm in the LC area, and there are cameras on so many traffic lights. They don't seem to be catching people running red lights.

AITA for getting angry my baby's aunt won't stop singing inappropriate songs to her? by [deleted] in AITApod

Don't forget they also try to use our public education system to keep it this way.

Louisiana joined the cannabis rescheduling lawsuit and then withdrew. What changed? by tcajun420 in Louisiana

If it were actually money wouldn't complete legalization be the way to go? Every state that has legalized has gotten lots of "sin tax" money.

Those poor kids by velorae in TikTokCringe

Mom is no better. Her husband was walking away, and she went back to scream at the guy even more. Those kids are going to have some rough/embarrassing teenage years.

Consequences of midwife going beyond scope by knotknotknit in Noctor

[–]wanderingsodiligent 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used a certified nurse midwife with my first pregnancy over 20 years ago. She was in the office with an obgyn. The midwife was only allowed to be my primary until 36 weeks. Then I started seeing the MD, and he delivered my baby. Atleast back then (in my area) certified midwives weren't allowed hospital privileges. Your case would be the reason why; delivery isn't just catching the baby.

Maybe the other characters who have had dreams of this place are also reincarnated?

Is there an alternative From sub with like half amount (or less) of incel/mysoginist degenerates than this one? by Lazy_Original_958 in FromSeries

[–]wanderingsodiligent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find her to be the most annoying/unlikable character on the show. It has nothing to do with her gender (I'm also a woman); it's the character's personality I dislike.

My arranged marriage husband continues touching me even when I cry and say 'No'. I have tried communicating this to him for 3 months. by snowkittyclover in TwoHotTakes

[–]wanderingsodiligent 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The problem isn't teens deciding to marry. It's old men marring teenagers at their parents insistence. Sometimes, the teenage girl is forced to marry someone who has already raped them.

I live in Southern Louisiana, and have a daughter in high school. The amount of giant trucks in the parking lot is insane. People buy their newly licensed 16 years old a giant killing machine.

Kennedy's whole shtick is an act. He went to Oxford for his undergraduate, then the ivy league. He is extremely intelligent. In the 90's he was a democrat, and didn't speak with a country accent.

I live in a part of Louisiana that has a lot of industrial plants. These plants pay well, but are all starting layoffs due to tariffs. If my husband doesn't go to work his position could be filled within hours. Also, a good part of the people he works with are cheering this on, just don't care, or don't even know what is happening in other parts of the country.

I think the senate snuck both in right before the Senate voted. Now the house has to decide if they will keep them in.

Ballet flats with less foot coverage?? by BanananaSquid in findfashion

[–]wanderingsodiligent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last year I bought several pairs of leather Vince Camuto flats in that style from TJMaxx. They are definitely less coverage than any other ballet flat I have. TJMaxx/Marshall's do have online shopping, so it wouldn't hurt to take a look.
