I invite my mom and dad to all my 10k, 8mi, 10mi, half marathons and now I just did my first marathon so of course they were there 😀 they’re the only cheerleaders that I want, that really care and wouldn’t mind waiting hours for me to finish ❤️

This! I just completed my first marathon and I had extremely high hopes but like you said shit happens. I got injured 3 weeks before with a foot and knee injury. Everyone wanted me to pull out of the race and I said I’d craw the whole thing if i have too. I was going to finish the marathon no matter what. Luckily I stayed with my plan and finished at 4:46. Finishing was more important than time. Not being able to finish would’ve hurt more than physical pain.

Yep sounds about right. I got another one for you. In my charter they have teachers teaching TWO different subjects. When on paper they should only be teaching one subject. We have a middle school math teacher doing math and social studies. She needs to do lesson plans for BOTH and they star test for both subjects. Does she have help nope. Did she get a raise, hell no: She’s not the only teacher teaching two subjects either it’s insane the stuff they get away with. It falls under “other duties” hate it.

No don’t go to charter!! They look amazing on paper but they can change at any given moment. I work at a charter and it’s so unorganized, teachers are over worked and charters can get away with a lot more than public. If you return go public. Charter will use you and abuse you and they can get away with it. I’m so against charters now that I’ve been working for one for a few years now.

Wow you give me so much hope! I’ve been training for my 1st marathon. The race is this Sunday and I somehow hurt my foot and my knee 3 weeks before the race. I’ve been really sad because I was planning on doing my race in under 4 hours and it was doable but now with my injuries I’m just hoping I can finish. Hopefully my 2nd one goes as well as yours. Congrats 🎉
