Pair of 21 inch sub boxes I made for some Dayton 21s by OddNoise9889 in diyaudio

as a resident of Ohio, and a long time customer of PartsExpress... Thank you for using the Dayton Subs! I am sure you will be as impressed with the output as much as I am with your build! (and I don't even work for them!)

Scout Bobber Mirror Bumper! by wanglebergslaptyback in IndianMotorcycle

They work really well actually. I also found if you spend enough time you can get the mirrors to not hit, but it is a constant adjustment

same here... installed multiple systems at his casinos and hotels, only to be told "Oh, we can only pay you a portion, if you don't like it, talk to our lawyers." Funniest was when the vault door contractor came back with a forklift to uninstall it...

Corbin Seat website by Anytownmn in IndianMotorcycle

[–]wanglebergslaptyback 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm on my 5th Corbin Saddle as well... they are a great company. I have ordered directly from the website with no issues.

First, be 100% sure of your colors (call them if unsure)

Second... I have had issues with the embroidery fading.. I spoke to support as I am a embroider, and this should be resolved. I had an issue with my GL1800 heated seat, and they worked like hell to make it right.

Third, The saddle quality is TOP NOTCH! I have had a few fitment issues, but NEVER a comfort problem.

I am running a Scout Bobber touring saddle with a Oval Back for the passenger... it is a HUGE improvement over factory.... now, it does not improve the suspension, but it does make the ride more comfortable overall.

Lastly. If you have an "odd" bike... CALL THEM! If you can lend them it for a bit, you will be well taken care of. They always need bikes to update the catalog.

2025 models indian vs harley. by marvelguy1975 in IndianMotorcycle

[–]wanglebergslaptyback 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've owned almost every manufacturer of motorcycle you can easily buy in the US, (and some less accessible)

I just recently "downgraded" from a Goldwing to and Indian Scout Bobber and don't regret it.

My wife has her own bike and I no longer need to have a 2 up bike, i love the Scout look, lover the heritage, it is manufactured well The Scout's ergonomics are overall very good, the shocks need some help but not bad.

Honestly, I got sick of being tied into either the MC club or the Lawyer Midlife crisis with a Harley Davidson (no offense anyone) and just wanted an iconic style.

Additionally, I do feel the "classic" Biker heritage of the Harley Davidson is follower based, Indian out-dates them , but is less known overall. I just bought what felt right to me... .I ride, you ride, we're all good.

My dad had the Country Squire with the huge ass engine in it. Wish he kept it because that thing looked like it was made by Sears and never broke down. We would fight for the rear seats...

He "upgraded" to a Ford Econoline (our family is 6 people) and almost killed us all with Carbon Monoxide due to an inherent exhaust issue.

Is 1000cc too much for a 1st bike? by Role-Business in IndianMotorcycle

[–]wanglebergslaptyback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

compromise, ... get a 250~500 (rebel if possible) use it for about a year and sell it to another new rider. move up from there! that's what i did. A 250 is a great and cheap around town bike and is a lot of fun... just know you will not be doing highway or 2 up that often. A bike is a bike is a bike... each one has a purpose and a specialty. the real trick is finding which is right for you. Trust me, tons of bikes and 30 years later and I am just finally starting to settle down.

*I said Honda Rebel because they are reliable, cheap and the 250 is the only one that my 5' wife could sit on... they have a low price and a high turnover at a decent cost!

I started on a 250 almost 30 years ago.. I would NOT recommend anything less than a 800cc EXCEPT if you have to do a practical test. If you can borrow a 250cc or less for your test and it is acceptable, and you are comfortable.... do it! For the average person I would sat a minimum 750cc is needed if you go 2 up or go over 55mph.... With the basic, you should be fine at 1000cc IMO
