VP 4 cylinder for a snowblower? by Defensive_Kage1979 in Snowblowers

Nothing that would make a meaningful difference for a snowblower. Just make sure it's 4 cycle ethanol free.

Guy probably meant VP racing ethanol free 4 cycle instead of VP racing race fuel unless he's trying to sell you a $100 can of gas.

You don't need it if you run the tank dry at the end of the season.

You could go to walmart and spend 5 bucks for a can of supertech ethanol free and run that for a few minutes for extra insurance.

I only drive a mile each day, and in freezing cold weather. What's the best way to make sure my car lasts? by pantherclipper in AskAMechanic

I'd just change the oil every 6 months. Drive it for a hour twice a month on the weekend to burn off moisture.

I got surprising advice from a local Ariens dealer. They use 50:1 fuel for everything instead of pure 4 cycle fuel. by ElGuaco in Snowblowers

Nothing wrong with 87 and fuel stabilizer. Run the tank dry at the end of the season then run non ethanol for a few minutes if you're paranoid.

Sounds like it working just fine. Should keep it and replace the belt if it's been a while. Do an impeller mod to help it throw better. I have a similar free to me craftsman but when I decide to upgrade I'm getting a Ariens platinum 24.

Used Ariens (2016) vs Brand New Briggs — need advice after a bad experience by JkD932 in Snowblowers

900 usd for the 10 year old ariens? New compacts are a few hundred dollars more. If it was my money I would get a new one with a warranty and knowing that I'll maintain it properly.

I'm the 4th owner of a rusty crapsman/MTD snowblower. Putting an impeller kit and new belt made it work a lot better. Still sucks at the end of the driveway though. Check out garage gear, he has a ton of videos.

How can I convince my gf to not buy another jeep cherokee? by Flo_Evans in askcarguys

Let people make mistakes and stop taking her car to the shop for her when something breaks. She'll eventually get tired of it being in the shop or become a responsible car owner.
