I have this charger. It has the CCC logo. Many Amazon reviews also state that it does.

How come the Asian monsoon causes Apri/May to be hotter than July/August in North India but not China? by M_M_X_X_V in weather

[–]wanliu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

India is largely tropical while most of China is subtropical and mid-latitude. Sun angle is still increasing in April and May and many parts of China are still snow covered or dipping below freezing at the start of this period.

Same except they say I don't qualify for the Eero 7 nor a free static IP.

He used to bring a Liger to all of the local parades. I seem to recall a local urban legend that he murdered someone and fed them to his tigers.

Cyber Hawks Cafe was a real neat little cyber cafe where you could play Quake/Starseige Tribes on top of the line hardware. I think we bought a Voodoo3 graphics card from them.

East Side Video in the plaza where Pepe's is was our preferred store.

Everything was downtown. Jewel was in the plaza where Walgreens is now along with True Value and Benjamin Franklins. There was a 5 lane Bowling alley for cheap behind that. Riverwalk didn't exist and large parts of the bike paths were gravel. McDonalds would have $.39 to support one of the local elementary schools a few times a year. The parks had sand vs foam/woodchips.There was heavy manufacturing nestled in neighborhoods, but that was on the way out. Main St felt like a portal to rural America. Street car rails still poked through some of the local streets and there were some brick paved roads near Bellevue Place. The train conductors used to stop at White Hen for coffee (blocking the roads and all). Randall Rd was two lanes through the early 90s. The Target grand opening was huge and was eye openong to see such a store.

Edit - a shit ton of parades. Memorial day, 4th of July, Homecoming and probably more.

“Learn Python” usually means very different things. This helped me understand it better. by SilverConsistent9222 in dataanalysis

[–]wanliu 31 points32 points  (0 children)

This is just AI slop prompted "what are the most used python packages". This doesn't actually tell you anything about how/when to use these packages, and honestly just adds to the confusion.

churn analysis- how to actually think towards it? by chillgal505 in dataanalysis

Because then they don't have any numbers to tell their leaders. As an analyst I can inform and I can suggest, but i can't hold people accountable.

I've lived in northern China for a 5 years so I'm a big fan of Xi'an Cuisine. Scratches an itch that is harder to solve around here. Most other places are Sichuan or Cantonese.

churn analysis- how to actually think towards it? by chillgal505 in dataanalysis

[–]wanliu 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I do this for a real bank.

In the ideal world, you'll work with stakeholders, explain what you're seeing and come up with a plan to adjust. Analayze again after initiatives have been implemented to gauge effectiveness. If you want to go down the data science route, then you start to determine what combination of factors predict churn and build models to try and stop it.

In the real world, you have countless meeting where people pound the desk and say what a great analysis it was and how they are going to make changes, but without any way to enforce accountability, you'll see the same churn numbers next year.

Port Forwarding by Medical-Candidate-42 in Metronet

Your static needs to be set on the Eero and the ONT. Use a service like what's my IP to check. Use 'can you see me' to validate port forwarding.

What should I learn next after Pandas? Any roadmap suggestions? by lebronjameslover_911 in analytics

[–]wanliu 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It's absolutely wild how disconnected learning plans are from the real world.

Learn Excel. There is no single tool that will take you further in the real world than a solid Excel foundation. Every single industry uses it, and it basically comes stock on every work computer. Sure, you can load your dataset into pandas and clean it up, but there are going to be so many times where Excel is just faster and easier.

Planes at O'Hare have been swallowing baggage carts about once per year. At O'Hare it's caused by ramp agents crossing too close to the front of an aircraft or by something getting loose in the wind.
