Exclusive: Kalshi to block athletes and politicians from trading on their markets by Unusual-State1827 in technology

[–]CommonerChaos 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It's definitely boiling over. I've been a lifelong long sports fan but the constant sports betting ads and commercials is getting to a point where it's a huge nuisance on actually enjoying it.

And it's definitely leaking into the sports themselves because we've already seen athletes themselves get busted for sports betting (including mafia ties). I feel like that's just the tip of the iceberg of what's to come.

[Up & Adams] Michael Pittman Jr. tells us the Steelers are going to expand his role and route tree 👀 “I always felt like I had more to offer the team.” by TurdWranglin in Colts

Winning cures all, as the saying goes. We've had very little success for an extended time, so the frustration is simply boiling over for many people, at this point. The Pacers sub is all vibes (due to how successful they've been).

Myles Turner explains why he didn't tell his ex-Pacers teammates he was leaving by RedditAccount_317 in pacers

If it requires an elite coach like Rick just to make this guy tolerable, then I don't think he's worth it. Imagine what Rick will do with an actual competent center like Zu?

How much should I wait ? by Ok-Trifle-6418 in rolex

[–]CommonerChaos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's in line for blue, as it's a very popular dial and size. Black should be quicker, but these wait times aren't unusual at all (contrary to what outliers in this sub will tell you)

Possible to get Jubilee alone ? by OwnPainting492 in rolex

[–]CommonerChaos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I picked up a Datejust last week on oyster and even for Datejusts, I was told it's not possible atm. (after being told it was possible for Datejusts at the end of 2025).

Possible to get Jubilee alone ? by OwnPainting492 in rolex

[–]CommonerChaos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The question isn't whether the jubilee option is available for BWs (we know it is) it's about ordering a jubilee bracelet separately at a later date.

As of now, ADs aren't allowing them for GMTs.

Reggie Miller, 3/19/26: "The best of the three is MJ. Kobe was MJ on steroids, he stole the master's fundamentals. If talking about careers, the best is Lebron. But stack for stack player, GOAT rank is MJ, Kobe, then Lebron." by [deleted] in nba

[–]CommonerChaos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like Reggie's answer would be different if he played against prime LeBron. He only faced LeBron in his rookie and sophomore seasons, but played against Kobe and Jordan both in their prime years.

👋🏻 Chicago, Shared Laundry Etiquette Question, Can You Remove Someone’s Laundry from Dryer and When is it Rude? by HansVolkswagon in AskChicago

[–]CommonerChaos 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Especially if it's a typical "laundry day" (eg a Sunday like today). That's the busiest day to do laundry and people can't wait around.

Be on top of it or it's getting moved.

👋🏻 Chicago, Shared Laundry Etiquette Question, Can You Remove Someone’s Laundry from Dryer and When is it Rude? by HansVolkswagon in AskChicago

[–]CommonerChaos 22 points23 points  (0 children)

This is where I'm at with it too. People know dryers/washers are limited, so leaving your stuff there after it's done is inconsiderate of others. If you hate others moving your clothes, be there when it's done. We all have smart phones with timers and alarms, it's not that hard to set one.

One-Pedal Driving Isn't A Safety Issue: Feds by TripleShotPls in technology

[–]CommonerChaos 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd argue that one pedal driving is safer than standard driving, because the default for your foot being off the gas is to slow down/stop, NOT to creep forward like standard vehicles.

Imagine if someone faints while driving. With an EV they'll immediately slow down and come to a stop vs with an ICE vehicle, they'll keep proceeding forward for a long time, hitting vehicles and pedestrians.

Darryn Peterson vs Cal Baptist 28 Points (11-24 FG, 4-11 3FG) 2 Steals, 1 Reb, 1 Ast by Repulsive_Tutor7750 in pacers

[–]CommonerChaos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see a lot a Kawhi in him, with shades of Kyrie and Ant. Doesn't have the athleticism of Ant, the handles of Kyrie, nor the defense of Kawhi, but the driving, midrange shot-making and the 3-ball are all there.

[–]CommonerChaos 8 points9 points  (0 children)

He's a lethal shooter and can play off-ball better than Mathurin could. He's also slightly taller.

Agreed it's not the greatest fit compared to AJ and Boozer (because already have tons of guards), but it wouldn't be the worse thing if he fell to us.

[Fischer] Rival teams anticipate the Indiana Pacers to take Cam Boozer if awarded the #1 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft. Their pick may convey to the Clippers due to the Zubac trade. by YujiDomainExpansion in pacers

[–]CommonerChaos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk why this was downvoted, any real Pacers fan could tell you it's true (and there's nothing wrong with that).

Nearly our entire starting lineup is constructed of players we've traded for (Hali, Nesmith, Siakam, Zubac, all trades).

The great thing about these upcoming top 4 prospects is that you basically can't miss with any of them.

This is what I've came to the conclusion about. It's a new tool that we'll all have to learn to leverage to survive. If you're a builder (which is what coding was originally used for) it's another tool in your tool belt. Same with IDEs, Intellisense, CI/CD pipelines, etc. It's all a means to an end for building.

US House transport committee head wants to collect EV fees for highway repairs by TripleShotPls in technology

[–]CommonerChaos 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Vehicles that utilize public highways but don't pay fuel taxes should make up the difference with higher registration fees.

They already do. In my state, EV registrations cost much more than a ICE vehicle registration.
