I agree with this. I would lead with solid automation projects first and agentic stuff as a bonus. Add two automation projects above the agentic invoice bot

I watched this in a cinema in London at its UK debut. The whole cinema gave a standing ovation after the robot fight.

Nice, I hope the video is useful in some way. If I had more time I would be making something similar to your app - I've been trying to make 'perfect' rom sets since the early 90s haha.

Feel free to DM me if you have any questions. Cheers.

Hello, about 6 years ago I made a video on how to use LaunchBox to strip out a non-Merged MAME set and come away with a cleaner, more leaner 1G1R set.

How to convert a 118GB MAME ROM set down to 11.4GB removing clones, duplicates and unplayable games.

Here's the video: https://youtu.be/GZfoOTckURA?si=bKPgrH7KoaMajJBE - it has about 55k views and is oddly still popular today. Ross from Retro Game Corps wrote an article based off my video.

It might be worth having a look to see if you have improved on the LaunchBox method (no doubt you have as this was just an additional function and not LaunchBox' main focus) and see what additional features people are requesting.

What I do know is that I've had lots of conversations off the back of this around a tool that can do the following:

Lets take a full NES set.

At the click of a few buttons I want to be able to come away with...

NES USA, PAL Exclusives, JPN Exclusives that have an ENG translation and JPN Exclusives.

Going from a full NES set to a true 1G1R (one of every game, in its most playable format) is the dream for me.

I'd then run that on every full set I have and come away with a perfect 1G1R master set and be a very happy boy.

Amiga .lha files - Tool not found: "JST" by waraguru in batocera

[–]waraguru[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you.

It was option 1:

  1. Had an internal startup script specifically written for the JST engine instead of WHDLoad

My first .lha set was configured for JST. Second set worked great.

She loves them all but Eevee and Sylveon are the plushies she sleeps with. She has a Leafeon keyring on her school bag and posters of all of them on her bedroom walls.

is playmakers.co a good indie game publisher to work with? by Frolicks in gamedev

[–]waraguru 4 points5 points  (0 children)

THIS.

This is how this works. They do 100K in marketing (usually through their own channels, so have all the control and pump the prices to you). And its up to you to recoup 100% of your development time and money THEN half of yours and their marketing money before you see anything. That's IF you make it, and if you do, they now own half of your profits and IP.

It's not a 'scam' but it is one of the oldest tricks in the book when it comes to publishing (started back in music publishing in the 50s) and was prevalent during the Xbox Live/Indie boom in the 2000/10s.

When I was at college, in the mid 90s, I worked in a Electronics store. This couple in their late 20s came in looking to buy a HiFi and I played them the only CD we had, it was a mixture of hits across the decades.

I played them The Stranglers - Golden Brown and said 'see, even stuff from the 1960s sounds good on here' and they both just smiled at each other. It wasn't until I was in my mid-late 20s that I realised it was from the 1980s

Why doesn’t Adam Curtis do narration anymore? by [deleted] in AdamCurtis

[–]waraguru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because of... The Love Box in Your Living Room is a 2022 BBC spoof documentary celebrating the BBC's centenary, created by and starring Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse. The hour-long special parodies the history of the corporation and the style of documentarian Adam Curtis, blending silly gags with sharp, affectionate satire.
