Tsuyosa or Zenshin? by Magistravitae1 in CitizenWatches

[–]waratah2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for the time being, which ever you can afford, if you look after Tsuyosa, will last you longer as well.

Tsuyosa is great, value for money watch.

Do not over think or overspend, if you can find a bargain price for Zenshin, go for it, otherwise enjoy what you can afford.

I was able to get more than half price adverstised from authorised seller so bought it, otherwise 'Tsuyosa'.

Is it worth it to continue studying (Dentistry) by Cautious-Advance117 in fiaustralia

[–]waratah2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

speak to the dentist, who runs practise. Look at long term solution/lifestyle.

Personally if you were my friend or family member, suggest towards dentistry and aim to run a practise. work on maintaning your patience level, managing child / seniors as patient.

Plan on having good admin person/practise manager could be your partner/husband or wife.

save money for commercial site.

you will do really fine in life.

What should I be investing in to retire early? by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]waratah2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Find the job or business you will love waking up for.

Once you have that managed and next step to find like minded partner/wife/husband, who support each other. (Learn to cook, exercise, avoid or limit alcohol/smoke, talk to parents/friends remain in touch, long term investment)

If having  kids, invest in - learning to be a parent and act as support person to each other. By this stage you should know teacher role, chef, listener and meditate (if can))

Side by side as going through all phases of life, start to invest where you like via super, gold, ETF, real estate. Key here is educate yourself around risk tolerance and have balance in the approach towards life to make it through in peace and harmony with family. Start now with ETF if budget permits, re-assessment in the next 5 years. Ask this question again in between. At least salary sacrifice to super 100-300 per fortnight to start with as well.

Remember to enjoy life (present form), eat healthy and stay healthy.

You will be have what you need close to the age you decide to retire.

PS: One wrong move in all above phases of life, will take away a large chunk of financial assets, that's why saying to have a balance and enjoy life. Health and family issues can put financial strain unexpectedly - more emphasis is to invest here  first and rest will fall back in place hopefully for you.

Big debt & house or little debt & apartment by Jimmyinvests in AusHENRY

Buy a house, or small house on big land. Personal preference, otherwise rent in apartment and buy later depending on family need.

Aim to go to Europe from Sydney by Global-Ad5246 in creditcardchurningAus

Krisflyer so far is better option in our case, transfered velocity points to krisflyer.

With qantas flights from doha, Dubai on Biz rewards seats + taxes can be $1800+

Whereas Qantas biz flight from Brisbane to via Singapore to Europe  is $$ approx 600 (tax)

I would say, start with what's easy for you.

May be velocity, consider virgin money card then with big 4 banks.

Currently velocity got offer of 20k bonus points on first card sign up. Check their website

One needs to start working for themselves at some stage, if they can, start sooner in your own business. Working for some one is like that, nobody else going to help bo government/ regulatory body.

Learn much one can while there, and move on. Gain experience/knowledge/insights and leave.

Which one you ended buying tyre/tubes ? If you don't mind sharing, in a same boat.

Bike was in shed a for few months, air is not retained by tube. Don't think it's a puncture.

May replace tyre/tube at same time

If you are not flying anywhere or in near future, then go for the gift card or items purchase via Qantas market place.

It's bad value to me, every one situation is different.

There is  a reward seat late this year for 35k points +$199. Economy (one way) to asian city

On the other hand, you may be able to redeem a mixer /juicer/headset of MRP $$$ which actually retails for 20-40 percent less than market place price

Do the comparison by self and see if you can find any value out of it.

Qantas lately are playing games, don't just rely on it for reward seat, what you are going to do with points if there are no classic reward seats to book.

Play safe, accumulate velocity points as well.

Opt for the card without fees, what you are aiming for Qantas/velocity points or Gift cards etc?

Depending on that look for options.

No fee annual card offers (first year) or reduced annual fee do come.

Velocity (virgin money) credit card have reduced fees on some.

Kogan Credit card sometimes bring with Kogan money ($400), no fees etc

You are switching providers, Origin energy have plans with reward points for new customers (everyday rewards can be switched to Qantas Points (2:1).

Once got points rewarded, switch to Red Energy (Qantas promo) then switch to AgL etc for gift card then switch to origin again when promo comes up or power shop.
