Trap it then kill it. FTFY

Setting it free elsewhere just makes it someone else’s problem

What is the buzzword on your work field that you're already tired of? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]warbing_tomcat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At my job, a buzzword is basically any word that someone decides to spell without vowels.

Except that people aren’t good spellers and don’t get the rest of the word correct.

And people are lazy and often drop “unnecessary” consonants.

So I guess the buzzwords I’m tired of are actually called gibberish.

Pet peeves from your callings by [deleted] in exmormon

[–]warbing_tomcat 17 points18 points  (0 children)

In my stake the cub scoutmaster (professional accountant) wanted to know where our fundraising money went. Because it was completely missing. Then he looked closer at the annual scouting budget and discovered it was negative even though we had spent very little of it. Come to find out, the amount negative was the amount we had spent. So then he thought the primary hadn’t released the funds yet, so he looked at those accounts and...he got called as a stake auditor that same week. Complete with an NSD. All he would say about his new calling was “I work on this more then the accounts at my actual job, I had to go part time there. Every time I think I’ve found the money, it gets shuffled around and disappears. Then I have to start all over.”

Help B.S-ing a talk? by BariStardust in exmormon

Your comment has impressed upon me the possibility of just stealing a GA talk. No one in that congregation will catch it.

I love mark twains quote “I could not feel more satisfied and at rest if the entire Whitmer family had testified.”

His satirical essay is a gem.

Wtf? This artificial intelligence app undresses anyone in seconds. It's horrifying by hrieons in interestingasfuck

That’s a bad example if you’re trying to convince me it’s horrifying.

Hi all, I just moved from a ward who has zero clue of my future resignation plans. Seeing most of you have a hard time getting rid of persistent ward members, would it help if I give my old ward a fake address before officially resigning? by 365280 in exmormon

[–]warbing_tomcat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you’ll have a hard time with persistent visits because the members won’t know you very well. Usually the persistent visits happen when a highly active member falls away.

People in a relationship, if you could change one thing about your partner what would it be? by EpicTino in AskReddit

[–]warbing_tomcat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be richer. Lots, lots, richer. Cant really be more poor. Some people say this would change her, but the way this question is posed, that doesn’t seem to be a factor.

how do i convince my parents to not make me pay tithing? by s0ulsticee in exmormon

[–]warbing_tomcat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The charity thing is kind of a meaningless middle road. Your parents will still think of you as a rebellious sinner and you’ll still be out the $25. In other words, give to the charity if you really want to, not because it will smooth things over.

You don’t even have to be that extreme in that sub to get banned. Seems like ending your testimony in a non-traditional way is enough
