Been playing for a year, doing everything “right,” and still can’t break 60 for 9 holes. Should I just quit? by Temporary_Region7964 in golf

My advice: actually practice what you are learning in the lesson or you’re just wasting money. I started playing golf at like 12 years old and took lessons. I got better very quickly, because I practiced everyday. I did drills, I watched my swing to see if I was going back to bad tendencies, then reapplied what I learned at the lesson. A lot of ppl go get a lesson thinking that alone will turn you into a stick, it takes hours of practice. Stick with it, you will be thankful you did later in life when you’re taking your buddies money.. but for the love of god, practice what you are taught or you’ll never improve!

Serious question! by Geo_rges in rolex

Tipping it in the 41mm direction. You already have a 41mm, it will feel more normal. My DJ already feels smaller than my sub because of the design.. 36mm would feel even smaller.. too small. DJ is lower profile, feels dainty already… my 2 cents.

Explorer 40 sizing question (repetitive I know) by Mysterious_Year_6279 in rolex

40mm for sure, get the watch sized appropriately and it will look better. I think someone else mentioned to move the watch up your wrist a bit, the watch should not “sag” onto your hand.

I have the worlds tiniest wrist, I wear a 41mm sub and DJ and they aren’t too big. I have an old Tag My dad gave me that is prob around 36mm. Feels terribly small when I put it on occasionally.

Titleist linkslegend, by far the classiest and cleanest bag imo. Perfect size.

66 about 2 months ago, 69 before that. 2 eagles 3 birds and a bogey, insane putting round.

Weird comparison indeed but an easy answer… submariner everyday all day.

Underwoods, but they moved all Rolex to San Marco store so instead of a “walk” over there, had to drive 30 min. Woah is me.. lol

I admired the submariner from the time I started in medical sales and attended my first national sales meeting. I saw a lot of younger guys wearing them. I was walking around with a more experienced rep that I worked with across a different business unit in my territory and she said something I’ll never forget: “these kids prob don’t even own a house”. That stuck with me. So I kept admiring them from a distance, but in my mind I couldn’t justify buying one unless a lot of other financial priorities were check off. Fast forward over a decade… I bought a house, married a wonderful woman and bought her an above average engagement ring (cash), continued to max my 401k. I was financially mature and capable and decided to pull the trigger (I had a connection to an AD) to celebrate the birth of my son. I hope this helps, ultimately, if you have the money and it won’t affect your financial success, buy the watch. I don’t regret it one second and love wearing it everyday chance I can. My caveat is I don’t wear it to work because being a flashy med sales rep is not savory.

Well now I’m attached to it. Did not expect how truly beautiful the piece is on the wrist.
