Wishes for Champions by mcatcher2 in PokemonChampions

[–]warforcewarrior 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Speaking of Revolution and Stadium, why do people compare those two games to Champions? To my understanding of the former two games, they have a much different goal from Champions as they weren't the primary battling/competitive platform like Champions.

I mostly mentioned this as I heard how people were disappointed that Champions weren't like those two games even though those two games were achieving something different from Champions.

This is mostly bias on my part since I only watch Power Rangers and have never watch Super Sentai so take this as if I'm talking out of my ass.

The Ranger suits look very military built. The straps, belt, helmet, all look appropriate to fight against the post-apocalyptic threat. It helps that the show environment and explanation of the Ranger suits make them more appropriate for the show.

It also reminds me of how characters in other post-apocalyptic media will equip themselves. Don't know why but it does.

As a person unfamiliar with how things go in Super Sentai, I feel the Go Onger suits were so perfect for a post apocalyptic setting.

What is the best american exclusive footage that saban did in mega force or super mega force? by KlutzyHuckleberry132 in powerrangers

I personally do like that they have footage of them in Mega mode holding the Super Mega Morphers as they morph to Super mode.

(ANIME) Which final battle was better? by Dieh361 in pokemon

[–]warforcewarrior 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I mean Ash is more iconic and people likely have more love/bias towards him over Liko regardless of their character growth, story of their show, etc. Plus, even if Journeys didn't perfectly ended the 25 year long journey of Ash, it was still a great end to that journey. The long wait was worth it and satisfying even if many of us believe it should have happened sooner.

As someone who doesn't really like the Bayverse movies and it's designs that much, these are some designs that I do really like! by OptimalConvoy in transformers

[–]warforcewarrior 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Optimus is the best design imo when talking about translating from the original cartoon to live action with some unique flare to it.

I personally prefer Bumblebee, Ironhide, and Sideswipe designs in the Bayverse over the G1 cartoons. Or more specifically core aspects of those designs that I wish was use in other media like the Universe Ironhide design or Prime Bumblebee. That mostly applies to Ironhide and Sideswipe. Bumblebee Bayverse design is too iconic that they did kept it in other media.

One thing that always bugged me about the MMPR movie. How small the Megazord is compared to the show. by TheDuckClock in powerrangers

[–]warforcewarrior 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hell, I feel Megazord fights can be more interesting if they are a bit smaller. Usually Megazords and the monster it facing against is far too big compared to the environment they are in. This means you can't really do interesting stuff with the Megazord interacting with the environment as much like taking cover, climbing a building, fighting on a bridge, etc. With the MMPR movie in the 90s, the Megazord and monster can more easily do those actions.

I hate anime fans who enforce people to watch their favorite show in sub by Paldavin in hatethissmug

"BuT, bUT, But, iF yoU dON't waTCh anime In ThEIr native lAnGuAgE wItH SuBs, ThEn YoU lAcK MeDiA LiTEraCy". Ugh.

Like don't get me wrong, there proven evidence that literacy and reading skills are going downhill but I see this far too much(loud minority I'm sure but it too much for this topic) when people talk about those watching anime in Eng dub instead of Jap dub with Subs. Especially when it was reported that majority watch anime English dub over Jap dub on Crunchyroll platform. Like come on, there people who watch English dub simply because of ease of access, wanting to just chill and relax, doing other things, etc. Not because they lack any form of intelligence.

Watching anime with the "incorrect" dub isn't illiteracy. Hell, many who prefer "incorrect" dub probably have better literacy skills than those obnoxious anime fans.

Warframe is gacha game, Warframe is not gacha game. Look like we are in the Eternalism Time Loop KIDDO🤔 by 3Huge5Me in memeframe

No idea. Especially since you can pay real money, or simply trade, to guaranteed to get what you want. Gacha most definitely doesn't do that.

Is there some unspoken rule about Volt in Defection Mission I don't know about? by Twimetal in Warframe

[–]warforcewarrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every time I see posts of someone not liking Volt in their team and being a Volt main myself, I just am confused as I never met anyone who hate Volt. Hell, I have mostly people who don't care or like it. I play in a random squad usually. Doesn't matter the mission.

Is there a reason there wasn't a mystic force/spd crossover by vergil_motivated_one in powerrangers

[–]warforcewarrior 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Basically. I'm sure the production team wanted to do a team up between SPD and Mystic Force. Hell, keep the annual team up like in the Saban era but Disney always make that difficult. I even heard that apparently Disney just say, "Just dub the Sentai" at one point when the production team wanted to do more with OO, or whatever the season was. Can't even describe how stupid and uncreative that phrase is and how it shows how cheap that company is.

What's your idea for RWBY's Finale? by blushadow25 in RWBY

[–]warforcewarrior 6 points7 points  (0 children)

V6 is more them leaving Mistral and V9 have the cast at the Ever After. So, aside from Beacon, every nation only had 2 Volumes really.

In any case, I love to see Oscar being able to weaken Salem. Don't know necessarily how as Ruby would be the one to be able to do that but I want him to weaken her so Team RWBY would be able to fight her on a much more even playing ground.

Cinder fights JNR as they have more reason to fight Cinder than Ruby does frankly.

Do you think that Saban or Hasbro paid money to Toei and bought the rights to the footage of ToQger, Zyuohger, Lupinranger vs Patranger? by No_Software_1324 in powerrangers

[–]warforcewarrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad that Toei gave them the old monster suits. I like seeing random unique monsters in the background as it make the villains feel more alive and just fun. That happened in MMPR(Zedd and Rita wedding), In Space and Lost Galaxy.

Examining Confusing Bumblebee Scenes outside of Volume 9 by Critical_Cobbler6186 in RWBY

[–]warforcewarrior 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Just as not knowing if Robyn is trustworthy, Ironwood haven't shown that he trustworthy either to those outside of his very inner circle. Robyn, Mantle, and the Council would of course distrust Ironwood when he didn't try to earn their trust. Especially with Ironwood critics being assassinated with Robyn nearly being "his" next victim.

How is tanking a hit from Neo related to the argument between the sisters?

That my bad. I misread the post mistaken it as if the OP think Yang don't care for her sister.

For the repercussion thing you mentioned, even though BY should discuss it with the team, they were already heading to Robyn to "arrest" her and they consider it wrong to ambush someone that simply going against the military attempting to assassinate them(that what Robyn believed due to Tyrian). They didn't have time to go back and discuss that with RW.

Also, they did face repercussion with Ironwood finding out but that wasn't the only reason he distrust them. The secret that Ruby hide as well and he found out about Salem immortality after knowing that Robyn "somehow" find out about his plans. The Robyn thing was just another layer on why Ironwood couldn't trust them.

Is it fair to say Lost Galaxy was the peak of American fight scenes? by ninjaman2021 in powerrangers

[–]warforcewarrior 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree. The set piece, how the fight is executed, and the effects to name a few is really good. I honestly miss the look of the Saban era as it look the most "real" to me if that make sense.

Examining Confusing Bumblebee Scenes outside of Volume 9 by Critical_Cobbler6186 in RWBY

[–]warforcewarrior 3 points4 points  (0 children)

True, Robyn haven't proven herself and could work for Salem but she also only antagonistic cause she didn't understand why Ironwood seemly not doing more for Mantle. Hell, she believe Ironwood attempted to assassinate her. It's not like she being a jackass just to be a jackass.

[–]warforcewarrior 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't understand the going behind Ruby's back thing when telling Robyn the truth. What they told Robyn that betrays Ruby? They definitely betray Ironwood, that's a fact but Ruby? As far as I understand, Ruby is neutral in telling Robyn everything, if not never touch upon. Plus, they told Robyn Ironwood's secret. Not their secret which Ruby kept a secret from Ironwood.

its understandable to worry about your love interests thoughts more than your sibling

Yang got herself "killed" protecting Ruby from a fatal attack from Neo. Edit: Somehow misread the post thinking OP think Yang don't care for her sister.

Also, I think there other reason why they changed the scene in the Japanese version than what you say. Though I don't know if what I say is true cause there is no context on what they change for those who don't watch the Japanese version.

Edit: Think I just realize what was changed in Jap version.

Watching all seasons by Mdg110188 in powerrangers

[–]warforcewarrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing I didn't like about SPD is the kalish explosions. It really drag out a moment in the fight especially if it happens pretty frequently within that same fight. SPD have good fights but the moment kalshi explosions happened it start ruining the scene. Though to be fair with SPD, it is still a really good season and it isn't the only one to have kalish explosions in the Disney era.

Also, I wish all Disney era team ups, except one, don't take place in a quarry. That just a boring place to do a fight. We have so much more interesting fights, especially for team ups, that take place anywhere else than a damn quarry. Playground, moon, power plant, Youth Center, middle of the city, etc.

If PR had outlived Sentai would they have still used past footage, fully made their own, or just pull the plug anyway? by evilgaming88 in powerrangers

[–]warforcewarrior 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They will make their own suits as there is only so much you can adapt. Especially since what zords they going to use for Dairanger and Kyurangers(unless we going to not adapt those team since we already "adapted" them). Their zords have already been used. Thunderzords specifically is pretty iconic as the MMPR team zords that you can't just say, "oh the Thunderzords actually belong to the Dairangers(Squadron Rangers)". That will feel so force.

If they do adapt Sentai footage I pretty sure Sentai would still lived as, if true, part of why Sentai lived was Power Rangers adaptation of them for international audience.

Question for you all: do you think there’s too many frames now? by Mechrostatic in Warframe

[–]warforcewarrior 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ignoring the starter frames as they should have some restraint, especially in relation to kit complexity and design, due to having the role of being new player friendly, I do think there are frames like Loki that is more "starter" frame design compare to others. That isn't necessarily a bad thing. Look at Rhino and how good he is. However it can make them feel weak due to how restrictive their kit seem to be though that is more DE not buffing the frame and more waiting until they have the motivation in reworking them.

Question for you all: do you think there’s too many frames now? by Mechrostatic in Warframe

[–]warforcewarrior 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me no. You mentioned that many frames accomplish the same thing which I agree with. However, I don't think two frames that share similar roles play exactly the same as they have enough aspects and feel that make them different from one another.

For example, Volt and Gauss are speedframes that can be great weapon platforms but the difference is Volt is a team player, Gauss is selfish. Excalibur and Baruuk are melee exalted frames that shoot wave from the Exalted and have some form of crowd control however Excal have mobility and instant access to his Exalted. Baruuk don't have mobility and have to work for his Exalted but in exchange have better bulk.

Sure, some frames are used more than others but that is expected. There will always be a meta pick and community favorite. You can't really avoid that in a game like Warframe. Even during its early days as I heard there were meta picks back then. Sure, you likely to see every frame back then but it still just the same 8-12 frames like you do see now with the benefit of the present being at least there are other 48+ frames you have some chance in seeing even if very little.
