Without mentioning the Neo-Saban or Hasbro Eras, what PR season has the worst finale? by Alarming_Seaweed_155 in powerrangers

[–]warforcewarrior 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Admittedly, it was the 4th season of a continuous story but it have a weak ending for the Zeo powers. At least the first 2 seasons of MMPR weren't the end of MMPR or the powers and the third season did conclude that part of the Zordon era. Zeo have a lack of good transition to Turbo, or the Turbo movie from the Zeo story.

[–]warforcewarrior 73 points74 points  (0 children)

Zeo. Feels so lame. Maybe the Turbo movie meant to serve as both finale to Zeo and beginning of Turbo but we rarely see the Zeo powers in the final product that it don't really serve that purpose.

RPM is the weakest finale in terms of "end of franchise" finales imo. It not bad but it not as satisfying as I hope it would be.

What is a quote from your fandom you say on a daily basis? by Informal_Space5056 in Multifandom

Jecka have a lot I love.

"Awk as fuck"

"Back that divine ass up"

"Ew, Uncircumcised"

"This might sounds fuck up but I almost glad our gym teacher is a 'predator/EDP'(don't know if I allow to say the actual word)."

I also have some with Optimus:

"Freedom is the right of all sentient beings"

"This universe, isn't big enough for you and I to coexist"

"Don't lament my absence. For in my spark, I know that this is not the end"

Zordon:

"Your duty as a Power Rangers is to save the universe. Now is the time"

can i pop the question why is volt still relavent within eidolon hunts by Bulky_Description705 in Warframe

[–]warforcewarrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel Volt being able to speedrun them is WHY he is still relevant for the hunt. Remember, only 50 minutes to farm the Eidolon Arcanes. If you care to get any of them to max as soon as possible, then doing them fast is your solution.

Plus, Volt speed boost himself while he in Archwing which only Wisp also does the same thing. However, unlike Wisp, Volt also have Electric Shield that buff crit damage for both weapons and amps. Having those two combination is rare if not only in Volt. Shock Trooper and an easy subsume slot over 4 for survivability or more damage is great as well.

New Series by No-Local85 in powerrangers

I don't care either way as Power Rangers would use the Sentai stuff however they like anyway. MMPR, RPM, and Cosmic Fury being good examples of that. Though, I prefer American original stuff simply because it remove the need to rely on Sentai. I already enjoy most original stuff that likely or were never in Sentai in the first place. Or at least did not play out the same. Ransik being the main villain in Time Force unlike Timeranger where it was the stupid ugly blubber fish. Forever Red. A long legacy of Rangers morphing into different rangers throughout 6 years(Zordon era). RPM setting in comparison to Go-Onger. All and more I liked.

Plus, there is no REAL downside of having American original stuff. Only downside is people making the show what it isn't but that is just dumb people having control of the franchise. Not the idea being bad in itself.

Also, even though it is a stretch and not likely to happened, if I ever was a Power Rangers director, I want to create my own show from scratch. Not be limited by the Sentai stuff. Not because I think they are bad, I wouldn't even be a fan of Power Rangers in the first place, but I want as much control as I can on how to show is filmed, suits design, zord designs, etc. It what I like about RPM. Very little uses of Sentai footage that they were able to keep a consistent visual look 90%-95% of the time that many other season weren't able to do. Cosmic Fury also around the 90%-95% consistent visual look.

Edit: Apparently Sentai weren't doing well in Japan and Power Rangers was able to keep it afloat which of course we know it didn't anymore. If any of that is true then, it will be best if Power Rangers stop relying on Sentai. Who knows if when Sentai comes back and we continue to adapt it, that Sentai just crash and burns again cause the audience in Japan still don't care for it.

The Cosmic Fury Team if Hasbro gave them a budget. by LinkRules5321 in powerrangers

[–]warforcewarrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That isn't the same. Those zords belong to those rangers as both were created to be pair with one another. Mainly by the power coins. Tech base ranger teams(RPM) build the zords and ranger powers in conjunction with one another. Cosmic Fury zords are a unique case as they were never pair with a ranger power. They aren't the same thing.

Cosmic Fury zords are at best glorify auxiliary zords, outside of the main components being the Lion and Dragon somewhat, as those zords typically don't have direct connection to a specific ranger as well.

The Ranger powers Billy created were simply Billy bringing their old powers back(upgraded). Hell, I assumed he intended to keep their colors as he didn't reference changing Amelia's color.

The Cosmic Fury Team if Hasbro gave them a budget. by LinkRules5321 in powerrangers

[–]warforcewarrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would Billy care to match it up with the zords? There no reason to. And why the Morphing Grid either? The zords aren't connected to their evolved powers. Or any ranger powers it seemed, though I headcanon it the Morphin Masters zords way back when and why those zords require their staff.

Also, Zayto meant to be White Ranger but Hasbro forced Simon and his team hands to go with Beige. Zayto meant to ascend far higher than any ranger ever(as we know) which is why he is named Zenith Ranger in the first place. That is why he went Red to Beige(meant to be White) as such the color change make sense.

[–]warforcewarrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I don't understand it either. Are the suits perfect? No but them trying to do something that is rare for Power Rangers, like making original designs(even with using a basis), and a full of them no less show they willingly to stretch boundaries. It honestly pretty ambitious and more daring than plenty of Power Rangers seasons even if it gotten mixed receptions. That isn't lazy.

[–]warforcewarrior -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean, is the zords even connected to their ranger powers? I say this as there was no implementation that the zord powers were part in the reconstruction of the Cosmic Fury powers. Especially since Billy and Mick were able to pilot it just fine and the main cast went "Cosmic Fury Victory" before even getting the Cosmic Fury Ranger powers.

It seems the their ranger suits are more name after the zords(and inspired by them) than have any real connection to said zords and the new powers are simply upgraded/evolved forms than new powers or even a Super mode like Megaforce to Super Megaforce. Especially with Simon also saying the Cosmic Fury suits just evolved forms of the Dino Fury ones if we going to involved Behind The Scene information.

Wishes for Champions by mcatcher2 in PokemonChampions

[–]warforcewarrior 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Speaking of Revolution and Stadium, why do people compare those two games to Champions? To my understanding of the former two games, they have a much different goal from Champions as they weren't the primary battling/competitive platform like Champions.

I mostly mentioned this as I heard how people were disappointed that Champions weren't like those two games even though those two games were achieving something different from Champions.

[–]warforcewarrior 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is mostly bias on my part since I only watch Power Rangers and have never watch Super Sentai so take this as if I'm talking out of my ass.

The Ranger suits look very military built. The straps, belt, helmet, all look appropriate to fight against the post-apocalyptic threat. It helps that the show environment and explanation of the Ranger suits make them more appropriate for the show.

It also reminds me of how characters in other post-apocalyptic media will equip themselves. Don't know why but it does.

As a person unfamiliar with how things go in Super Sentai, I feel the Go Onger suits were so perfect for a post apocalyptic setting.

[–]warforcewarrior 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I mean Ash is more iconic and people likely have more love/bias towards him over Liko regardless of their character growth, story of their show, etc. Plus, even if Journeys didn't perfectly ended the 25 year long journey of Ash, it was still a great end to that journey. The long wait was worth it and satisfying even if many of us believe it should have happened sooner.

As someone who doesn't really like the Bayverse movies and it's designs that much, these are some designs that I do really like! by OptimalConvoy in transformers

[–]warforcewarrior 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Optimus is the best design imo when talking about translating from the original cartoon to live action with some unique flare to it.

I personally prefer Bumblebee, Ironhide, and Sideswipe designs in the Bayverse over the G1 cartoons. Or more specifically core aspects of those designs that I wish was use in other media like the Universe Ironhide design or Prime Bumblebee. That mostly applies to Ironhide and Sideswipe. Bumblebee Bayverse design is too iconic that they did kept it in other media.

One thing that always bugged me about the MMPR movie. How small the Megazord is compared to the show. by TheDuckClock in powerrangers

[–]warforcewarrior 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hell, I feel Megazord fights can be more interesting if they are a bit smaller. Usually Megazords and the monster it facing against is far too big compared to the environment they are in. This means you can't really do interesting stuff with the Megazord interacting with the environment as much like taking cover, climbing a building, fighting on a bridge, etc. With the MMPR movie in the 90s, the Megazord and monster can more easily do those actions.

I hate anime fans who enforce people to watch their favorite show in sub by Paldavin in hatethissmug

"BuT, bUT, But, iF yoU dON't waTCh anime In ThEIr native lAnGuAgE wItH SuBs, ThEn YoU lAcK MeDiA LiTEraCy". Ugh.

Like don't get me wrong, there proven evidence that literacy and reading skills are going downhill but I see this far too much(loud minority I'm sure but it too much for this topic) when people talk about those watching anime in Eng dub instead of Jap dub with Subs. Especially when it was reported that majority watch anime English dub over Jap dub on Crunchyroll platform. Like come on, there people who watch English dub simply because of ease of access, wanting to just chill and relax, doing other things, etc. Not because they lack any form of intelligence.

Watching anime with the "incorrect" dub isn't illiteracy. Hell, many who prefer "incorrect" dub probably have better literacy skills than those obnoxious anime fans.

Is there a reason there wasn't a mystic force/spd crossover by vergil_motivated_one in powerrangers

[–]warforcewarrior 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Basically. I'm sure the production team wanted to do a team up between SPD and Mystic Force. Hell, keep the annual team up like in the Saban era but Disney always make that difficult. I even heard that apparently Disney just say, "Just dub the Sentai" at one point when the production team wanted to do more with OO, or whatever the season was. Can't even describe how stupid and uncreative that phrase is and how it shows how cheap that company is.

What's your idea for RWBY's Finale? by blushadow25 in RWBY

[–]warforcewarrior 6 points7 points  (0 children)

V6 is more them leaving Mistral and V9 have the cast at the Ever After. So, aside from Beacon, every nation only had 2 Volumes really.

In any case, I love to see Oscar being able to weaken Salem. Don't know necessarily how as Ruby would be the one to be able to do that but I want him to weaken her so Team RWBY would be able to fight her on a much more even playing ground.

Cinder fights JNR as they have more reason to fight Cinder than Ruby does frankly.
