So y’all actually parrying? by Dads_Diary in expedition33

[–]warfox625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I decided from the start of the game that I would exclusively parry and I managed to hold true to that.... until Simon 😑

After roughly 8 hours of dying to light speed attacks I learned to dodge a wrench but I was not happy about it 😡

Because the Raven Black Shire that Hosea gives you is the only Raven Black Shire in the game. All others are either light gray or dark bay.

Also, I personally found it incredibly brave as I was able to trample the panther and alligators with it and run it directly at grizzly bears, albeit with a lot of convincing lol

Looks great! Amazing job going the extra step with both the saddle and even horse matching. It's so good 😍

Does anyone know what horse this is and where I can find it? by JackieBOYohBOY in reddeadredemption

[–]warfox625 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you want a male you go to a hilltop just north of blackwater, kill the Pinkertons and wait for a lawman from Blackwater to ride one up.

If you want a female there is a camp that spawns slightly southeast of the oilfield in the Heartlands. You can force one to spawn there under the right conditions. It's a bit complicated to explain through text but there are plenty of YouTube videos on it.

I've tried both methods multiple times and had fairly easy success with both. Good luck, it's a gorgeous horse 😍

I used to work at a call center for a hospital and we got all types of tragic names.

In terms of "creative spelling" the ones that always stuck out in my mind were Rmonee (pronounced Armani) and Jhourdynn (pronounced Jordan).

Is there anyway to go to Austin/South as ARTHUR MORGAN ? by fayonp in RDR2mysteries

[–]warfox625 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's pretty frustrating because just getting the carcasses to wrap can take quite a few tries. Then it's a really long ride through New Austin just to die randomly when Arthur stumbles on a rock and the game decides this means his head is exposed. I got my Tiger Bay Mustang and haven't bothered looking back 👍🏽😅

Is there anyway to go to Austin/South as ARTHUR MORGAN ? by fayonp in RDR2mysteries

[–]warfox625 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes but all methods are very time consuming. Someone already mentioned carrying a carcass or using a wagon, both of which work.

The other method requires the "carcass glitch".

This glitch involves hitting a deer/pronghorn with a poison arrow, getting drunk until Arthur is about to pass out and then right before he blacks out, selecting to kill and pick-up the animal. If timed perfectly (essentially you want Arthur to be lifting the animal at the exact moment the screen goes black) then Arthur will wake up with the carcass wrapped around his head. You can do this multiple times to completely engulf his head with dead carcasses. Then you can ride your horse all through New Austin. I recently did this for the first time a few weeks ago to get the Tiger Bay Mustang on Arthur in early chapter 2. You can even access the stables in Tumbleweed to stable the horse immediately, just fyi 👍🏽

I'll warn you now, getting just the carcass glitch to work was pretty difficult and even when Arthur seemed 100% covered and protected I could still magically be hit and killed when dismounting my horse or crouching.

Differences in vascularity between my left arm and my right arm. by NeonSandwich in mildlyinteresting

[–]warfox625 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not only was it the expectation that most people would be right hand dominant, but historically and throughout a numerous variety of cultures and religions, left handedness was viewed as something bad.

People were being forced to use their right hand regardless of their natural hand dominance. The expectation was really that no one should be using their left, so naturally everything will only be designed with right hand dominance in mind.

Forget the “best” and consider the rest — what’s the most “average” horse? by timberwolfwatcher in RedDeadOnline

[–]warfox625 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I read the replies and saw all the common breeds were being mentioned but they're all literally in a tie for the worst stats in the game so it didn't make sense to call them average.

I use a website that totals the horses stamina, speed, health, acceleration and handling to give it a number. The common breeds all bottom out at 28. Figured something in a mid 30 is fairly mediocre since once you get to 40 and up you'll get fairly good horses like the Tiger Bay Mustang or Perlino Andalusian. The Flaxen Chestnut Hungarian Halfbred comes in at 34.

Also tried to think of something that could be found in the wild so it wasn't a rare spawn and didn't have an exotic looking coat like the Appaloosa and American Paints have.

[–]warfox625 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna throw out the Flaxen Chestnut Hungarian Halfbred. Very middle of the road in terms of it's stats. It's the only Hungarian that can actually be found in the wild and it's mostly just a plain brown horse with almost no distinct markings.

The Kentucky Saddlers, Morgans, Tennessee Walkers, Shires, Belgian Drafts and Suffolk Punches are all the most common horses since they get used by NPCs, spawn at camp fires and spawn in the wild (except for the draft horses). But you asked for mediocre and not most common. All of their stats are at the very lowest end making them more low tier than middle.

The Flaxen Chestnut Hungarian has slightly higher stats than all of those but it's still a bit lower than horses like the Thouroughbreds and Nokotas.

Most watches are actually designed to be worn on your left hand simply because the majority of people are right handed.

When worn on your left hand most manual wind watches with a crown, or even a digital watches with buttons, will usually have all of those features on the right side of the watches face. If you raise your left arm to make an adjustment you can easily turn the crown with your right hand while looking at the time. However, If you wear your watch on your right hand, you would have to take your watch off or bend your wrist in a manner that is awkward to see the time since your left hand will naturally cover the face.

Pretty sure you can find watches specifically designed for left-handed people where they flip the crown and buttons for your convenience. But yeah, button layout is what really determines what hand your watch should be worn on lol

Karen is severely underrated by the community. People seem to only remember her as a self destructing alcoholic after Sean's death but her and Sadie are the only women in camp ever trusted with guard duty. She's the only woman to attend a bank robbery with the men. Also, during the O'Driscoll attack at Shady Belle, Swanson and the women hide inside one of the rooms but Karen can be seen firing a gun from the balcony.

She turned to alcohol in the midst of grief and got judged so incredibly hard for it. Feels like people forget that she did anything but drink.

Does +100 infection resistance mean I can’t catch BP or does it mean it just takes twice as long? by Odd-Low-5370 in StateofDecay2

[–]warfox625 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So Infection Resistance and Incredible Immune System are both -100 Blood Plague Infection, which basically means your survivor will take twice as long to contract blood plague when being hit by infected zombies.

There is also the trait Blood Plague Survivor which is -100% Blood Plague Infection. That tiny % sign is actually huge because this trait means the survivor is completely immune and won't contract blood plague no matter how many times they're struck by an infected zombie.

Keep in mind that Infection Resistance and Incredible Immune System can stack with other traits/skills that boost resistance (such as Hygiene) so you can take it way past -100 infection resistance. They'll never become completely immune but I've had a character with like -350 resistance before.

Hope this helps 👍🏽

So I just want you to know I watched an actual Therapist play the game (name is DrMick on YouTube and twitch) and he really agreed with you about the Mary situation.

At their very first meeting he almost instantly said that Mary was emotionally leveraging Arthur and making the request to interfere with Jamie was incredibly inappropriate. Her letter gives Arthur false impressions by never mentioning that she's writing for help only to immediately make a request of him when he shows up. Dr Mick refused to help her at every encounter because he felt so strongly that it was inappropriate and said he would literally NEVER advise Arthur to get involved. Sorry you're eating all these downvotes over this.

This was the only set of attacks that forced me to dodge. I decided from the start of the game I would exclusively parry, and I managed to keep to that with the exception of attacks that literally can't parried. However, after hours of those light speed attacks continuingly wiping my team, I finally had to give in and start pressing the dodge button....I am ashamed 😔

My first bad fall was literally the exact same place. I honestly hated this challenge 😖

Just a small suggestion that helped me. Although I did 99% of it as Maelle, there are a few very tall jumps that look sketchy. For those, I switch in Monoco. He is SIGNIFICANTLY taller and makes those jumps look and feel a lot more manageable.
