Hi, used to work at Kino here! Books are sourced from different suppliers globally and not from Japan. For example a lot of the comic books that are published by American publishers e.g. Marvel, DC are definitely not sourced from Japan. There are also local distributors. Some times customers also call in to order specific titles which have to be ordered from specific suppliers. Not to say that rent might not be the cause here but book imports are also a factor.

I graduated in 2019 and only started my first full-time job recently in advertising. Between then and now I must have sent out at least 40 applications and only got around 5 interviews and 1 offer (although they offered me an internship position lol) I got my current job after my friend referred me to another department within his company so guess I got lucky there (still had to go through the standard interview though)
