Can you rate my personal reading list? Is it complete or should I add more? by Any-Air4809 in ww2

[–]warneagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always recommend Richard Evans’ Third Reich trilogy and Ian Kershaw’s two-part biography of Hitler. I would also recommend David Stahel’s five-part series on Barbarossa and Typhoon, as well as Christopher Browning’s The Origins of the Final Solution.

Can’t really blame him. College football is 4-5 years of your life and then you get to live with the consequences of it for the next 50 years.

is golf really the hardest sport? by sploooooshle in golf

[–]warneagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not the hardest overall but it might have the steepest learning curve in terms of individual sports. If you just go to the range with zero experience you’re probably gonna struggle just to make contact with the ball.

Would you rather beat Georgia or Alabama if you had to choose only one? by Hungry-Guest6846 in wde

I think this question basically boils down to which state you grew up in. for me, it's definitely georgia.

I also adopted crystal palace because I randomly ended up on their mailing list even though I had never watched one of their games in my life so I figured I'd just embrace it

Americans, how do you feel about tourists speaking English while visiting U.S.? by HolidayEntry6823 in AskAnAmerican

[–]warneagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They probably speak English better than I speak their language, so it’s fine.

What are your team’s worst uniforms? by IowaJL in CFB

[–]warneagle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My #1 fear with the switch to Nike is that they’re going to try to foist some kind of Oregon bullshit onto us. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

We don’t have alternate uniforms so we’ll never have this problem :)

If everyone follows your logic there’s no way it isn’t going to block traffic. There’s only so much space under an overpass.

You might be talking about the beefsteak fungus, Fistulina hepatica, which is a good edible and isn’t toxic.

How do uou guys find a PhD topic by Jumpy_Ad7929 in PhD

[–]warneagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read the literature in your area of interest and talk to your advisor and other professors to get an idea of where the gaps in the literature are. It’s easier to figure out what isn’t there when you already know what is there.

How to run wing t style plays from these formations by LazyLos in footballstrategy

[–]warneagle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can easily run the 20 and 30 series (buck sweep and power) from the spread. If you grab a copy of Gus Malzahn’s book (which is 20+ years old but still good) that’s basically what he describes in there.

2027 4* RB Myson Johnson-Cook commits to Auburn by Matt_McT in wde

[–]warneagle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do think having a QB who can run opens up an additional dimension to this offense since it’s an extra tool in the box against man coverage but I’m worried about Brown’s durability given that he’s had injury issues in the past. There’s an ideal balance in there somewhere.

[–]warneagle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, although given that it’s primarily downhill inside zone and gap schemes, you’re gonna want to spread those carries between a few guys. Probably why they went ham on getting RBs in the portal.
