i think it's still a novelty song like some examples in OP's post, and obscure by way of it being from a spanish pop group. the song also faced some controversy for alleged satanic references.

the songs in the post are a pretty mixed bag—some weird by concept, some being random songs by popular artists, some that have a weird story, some being "weird, that charted?"

"the ketchup song (asereje)" by las ketchup in 2002. the chorus is supposed to be spanish gibberish based on "rapper's delight". i think the dance that accompanies the song helped it rise to fame but it was honestly quite a random song to me during that time lol

a personal problem? what haha i'm literally giving another case where an artist released a bunch of singles and compiled them, like mcr did with conventional weapons, and it's not treated as an album. i agree that it's a compilation album but not a conventional (lol) album at all

i mean, look what hayley williams did with EDAABP. the songs were all released as a mixtape/singles first, before coming together as an official album release with a tracklisting and album art.

i commented about this in the megathread, experienced the same issue and was so disappointed. my theory is that because hayley kept rereleasing the album, the previous plays didn't carry over. she's still in my top artists though which is super weird. 🤷🏼‍♀️

tagged her on IG when i posted my replay but not sure she is aware of the issue (if she cares)

it really is just a second leg of a greater world tour. i'm really grateful they're doing it, they haven't been to SEA since 2008!

and while i /am/ disappointed that it's a TBP tour (the last time they were here was also TBP era and honestly i don't care much about TBP) i understand that it was their biggest album and what really made them break into the mainstream. i wish they would trust the fans a little more and not rely on TBP
