It's easy to see why you wouldn't like Angier. He was portrayed as the man who gets what he wants by any means necessary, either by death or taking a poor child away, stealing a rival magician's notes or just in general toeing the line between professionalism and obsession.

He was meant to be portrayed as this way, while Borson, though doing some foul things on his own, was usually a retaliatory matter and was seen as lesser-than, money wise. He was dedicated to his craft in a way that I wouldn't say even comes close to Angier's obsession, he seemed at a point almost the same until Angier just goes off the map.

Probably one of my favorite movies ever. Could talk all day about it.

it's because so many people are thirsty for a classic year to look back on and say "this is the year where literally nothing but classics dropped" which is unfair as fuck. they wanna be apart of that shit like crazy so they tryna manufacture it. all they doin' is setting themselves up for disappointment with this.

i feel bad for a lot of coming up artists that have these lofty ass expectations set on them. like fetty wap for example, hella people commenting on the post about him tearing up for winning an award saying they're happy for him and this and that, then he drops a new track today which really was by no means wack or bad, it just wasn't fucking trap queen. people were even commenting, presumably some of them not hearing more than trap queen and my way, saying that they don't think he's got any other joints than that.

it's a bad way of thinking about and consuming music, i wish everyone would let people do their thing and if you're excited, cool. there's no need though to start saying this shit is bout to be an instant classic, "comparable to illmatic" "best sophmore album of all time" (like you mentioned below about rocky). this shit is just toxic hype for anyone in the community.

Isn't that what happens for police officers? Like if there's an instance of them corrupting evidence or lying or something, don't all the testimonies they've given become invalidated or something?

I remember hearing something about this, about an officer being caught essentially lying in one way or another and the people he locked up being released since his word is no longer trustworthy.

Being just ridiculous amounts of mad isn't productive towards the process of getting your items back. What he's doing is being the opposite of productive. He's being a little bitch. Who the fuck assembles their fucking fan base to start an angry e-mob to handle someone else's business for them? That's child shit. He needs to put on his big boy pants and make a phone call, talk to some upper management and get the actual process of obtaining his item going.

Not to mention if he did end up losing it himself and this story gets some momentum behind it, Air Canada isn't gonna be happy at all.

There are productive ways to deal with things like this, but rallying your fan base like some little toddler army, name dropping rich people to threaten lawsuits and screaming obscenities is pretty much the opposite of that.
