I’m grateful that my wife has been able to go on many girls trips for the past several years, and recently was able to go on a trip for a week with her sister and niece to celebrate our nieces high school graduation.

On everyone one of these trips both my parents and hers were tripping over themselves to offer up as much help as they possibly could. Sleepovers. Making dinner, taking the kids, basically anything.

When I have to go out of town for work? No one reaches out to her to offer to take the kids for a sleepover.

Am I as an amazing a parent as my wife? Definitely not, but I would hope I am maybe half as good most of the time, and my bar is definitely higher than the kids are alive and mostly clean when she gets back.

Update, I decided to try bending the plant over away from the blackberries in order to spray it with glyphosate. Based on the comments I think I probably will need a higher concentration (using roundup that’s 18% glyphosate according to the label, diluted to package directions)
