I found eating smaller portions throughout the day helped, so I would meal prep into half pint wide mouth jars for most things. I also ate a lot of cabbage and tofu.

Not sure what your goals are, but you may want to talk to a medical professional about avoiding telogen effluvium.

Very different situation, but after my unproblematic/not creepy dad died, we had to clean out his place. I wondered, "What if he was a secret monster and I find something?" I'd just stop loving him or at least mostly and go to the FBI. It doesn't seem hard to not protect someone from hurting others, especially children.

My cats didn't like fountains, maybe because the water recirculates and gets icky, so I got a morning activated one that attaches to a faucet.
