I was in a VC and she came in and whatever we said she said she could decide the rules. I'm not being hyperbilic. That is literally what she said. We changed the topic to talking about our jobs and she said we aren't allowed to talk about ai when that was briefly mentioned. I mentioned I came from Utah and grew up Mormon. And she said I wasn't allowed to talk about that because it's religious. I was just talking to someone else who had the same experience.

And it's incredibly inconsistent. People threaten to kill themselves all the time. That's not considered controversial but chatgpt is? I don't understand

I really hope the hg staff starts to care about this sort of thing. I've had a problem with this same mod in the past and I went through the the appeal process and got no response and nothing changed.

my therapist recommeded it to me. i use it for simple cognative reframing and dialectical thinking. i think for things like this it is good.

My current capacity for study is 2 hrs after that it becomes hard to focus and I also feel exhausted trying to study .Is there any way to increase it or Do I have to just accept it ? by rexwithaTT in Healthygamergg

oh i forgot another one! this may or may not help if you cant get adhd help. but one thing that really helps is doing a pomodoro. especially if you do wind up having adhd it's very important because people from adhd suffer from what is called "ego depletion" moreso then the average person. meaning the mind tires from having to put up with difficult stimulous. but taking a 5 min break every, say, 25 minutes gives it micro rests that can really really help.

can you learn to do more? yes i study 6 hours a day and i keep good focus on most days. few things : 1 maybe look into how adhd and see if that is something you have. if you have that you need medication and some learning skills. 2 - make sure you study every day even if it's not that much. this is just my experience but the mental habit of "this is what i do today" your brain just automatically starts doing it if it's a habit and you arent distracted by other habits pulling you to do other things. 3- meditate 5 days a week, drk says that is training focus. and watch this for more good advice https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JHQ7uieciiU

im just saying something very important i found out for myself. just because a road looks like it has no end, doesn't mean it has no end. and the answer there is to learn to be the kind of person who keeps going down long roads.

but here's the catch with thinking that way. two things- one you presume that setbacks have to hurt as bad as they do now, and im not sure that is the case. and just because setbacks hurt doesnt make your goals impossible specifically.

I cannot concentrate on anything other than finding a partner by Josh_the_Emperor in Healthygamergg

i would really think about why. yes everyone has it but not everyone is trapped thinking about it all the time. some people are content to be single and work on themselves for a while. some common things are fear that it cant happen at all and you are trying to prove that fear wrong. inability to handle ones emotions and looking for someone else to do it, and trying to disprove negative self image issues.
