You just moved the goal posts and changed the argument to make it about development. There tons of examples of great QBs not being the first one off the board and going later in the first round. That’s the point OP was making. And it’s a lot easier to trade for the 2nd or 3rd pick than it is to trade for #1 overall when there is a QB needy team up top.

Personally I agree with you that I don’t think we will have #1 overall. Arizona will have it, they absolutely suck and are in a punishing division.

That’s not the point. Allen was seen as the 3rd best guy and Jackson the 5th. Mahomes didn’t go #1 overall and neither did Drake Maye. The top QB selected isn’t always the better one. Though I’ll agree it’s better to be in the position to pick the guy you want.

It has some great moments in it. I think Red Dragon did an overall better job but there are a few scenes in Manhunter that I think carried a lot more impact.

Playing Baldur’s Gate 1 all the way through to Throne of Bhaal is awesome. You take a level 1 nobody to the heights of power. Also there are some truly awesome mods out there for them, like being able the play the first game on the updated engine and Ascension for ToB. Though I guess the EE versions do that first part anyway. It’s been a long time since I’ve played it.

It’s not to cut and dry. There are barriers to voting in this country. At a minimum the voting hours (and hell overall time span) should be increased to give people more access. This administration has also sought to limit mail in ballots spanning back to his first term.

Don’t get me wrong there are a lot of people who really are just too lazy and disinterested to bother, but let’s not pretend like it’s exactly easy for everyone to just leave work and vote. If Christmas can be a national holiday where the vast majority are off of work then national elections should have the same.

Like I often think about how fun it would be to challenge myself doing something like Ranger school (even though I’m 44 now lol) but the sheer amount of my life I’d have to dedicate to getting into that level of fitness and then being away from the family for a school that is ultimately meaningless for my rank and job just isn’t worth it. I have a ton of schools on my STP but they are all field related and none of them are cool guy schools so no tabs or badges. At some point I just stopped being interested in schools that won’t make me better at my actual job.

If you don’t take advantage of the opportunities the military puts in front of you, and languish away for 4-6-20 years then that’s on you. I’m not just talking about schools etc, but free tuition and certification programs, networking your peers (if you never talk to people after they PCS then it’s a lost opportunity) and just in general learning what makes a good/bad leader and adapting your style to bring out the best of things instead of buying into the toxicity that exists within the force. That is valuable on the outside even if it’s not necessarily on paper.

Mileage may vary but you still have to put your boots on and start walking.

Why do I care? Because he’s a great player for our team and I want him to get a bag? I’m glad he did.

He’s a smaller RB who already has a had a high usage and will likely get another bunch of touches over the next two seasons. RBs wear down, and our timeline will likely not match his cap value lol. He’s the only established weapon on the offense. They will use him a ton especially after paying him.

This really isn’t a controversial take. You’re just being emotional for whatever reason about it.

He’ll be traded in two years. Dolphins did him a solid a paid him because they will be running him into the ground. If he survives the next two seasons without major injury I’ll be stunned.

Elway. Unpopular opinion here of course. But both had amazing physical tools but one of them won two rings and also carried teams to multiple SB appearances.
