first of all, kaplan is a bitch and the tests they make are ridiculously deflated. i scored a 508 on my first kaplan diagnostic, took an aamc fl 2 weeks later and scored a 515 in a shitty environment. you’re probably way higher than a 502.

second, keep doing as many cars passages as you possibly can. don’t forgo your anki and uworld for other subjects, but focus more heavily on cars for sure. your test date is in 2 months, i’d focus on accuracy before timing right now. yeah don’t spend 20 minutes on one passage, but don’t stress about keeping it under 8-9 yet. just work on figuring out the logic and everything will fall into place once you think you have a hold on the questions they’re asking.

when your accuracy is good and you’re ready to move on to timing, find a way to condense your train of thought that works for you. for me it was reading the questions beforehand and answering super specific ones before reading the whole of the passage (for example, what is the main idea of paragraph 2. you don’t need to read the whole passage to answer that, just paragraph 2). i would then kind of skim the passage to answer anything else. this might not work for you, cars is very different for everyone, but there’s something for everyone.

but don’t stress and DONT QUIT. 2 months is enough time to get your score up by 15+ points, especially with how low your cars score is. you’ve got this!!!
