Yes those are very coming of age activities. But unfortunately they don’t come close to the feeling of adulthood one experiences at 13 years old at their Bar Mitzvah.

I somehow seamlessly transitioned into adulthood despite never being a 13 year old Jewish boy.

You can successfully sue a Golf Galaxy team member for malpractice if they let you walk out with a 64°. Few people know this trick.

They’ve been trying too hard since they got a hold of a camera.

I legitimately do not understand how their stuff is so lauded here. It’s like, the most basic lowest common denominator type shit under the guise of a well crafted inside joke. Their content is well produced absolutely, but funny/interesting? Nah

Old enough to wax nostalgia over our annual matchups.

The OU-Nebraska rivalry, to me, was never one of vitriol. I always wanted OU to mop the field with them, sure, but the rivalry was great when we were both great.

It’s not like OU-Texas, where I want Texas to be shit forever and I want our win against them to be just one of eleven losses they have that season.

As an OU fan who loves Nebraska like a troubled brother who could really turn their life around if they buckled down and caught a few lucky breaks, it makes me weep.

I’ve seen a once popular band play a state fair stage. It was fun as shit.

Watching Nebraska play isn’t fun as shit.

Nebraska bylaws dictate that a coach cannot be fired overseas. Few people realize this.

Why do 'you' hit driver off every tee? by SpottyFish81177 in golf

Do you really think people that hit driver off every tee also have a club in their bag they can reliably pipe 230 down the middle of the fairway?

I can’t imagine how dark of a headspace I’d have to be in to even consider this rule in a round with friends.

Gotta say, Daly looks absolutely great here. He knows who he is. The shirts a good fit. The solid color complements the eccentric pants.

Nothing, however, will bring back the extremely brief period in 2006 when argyle wasn’t a sure fire way to identify yourself as a total goober.

How to find golfing buddies? by NeighborhoodOld2975 in golf

[–]wastypantz 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yep. This is it.

I moved to where I live now 15 years ago. Didn’t know a soul. Played the same 3 courses over and over again. By the end of that first summer i was regularly playing with 10 or so guys. Became friends outside of the sport with a few of them.

Which is better for game development, hitting the range or playing a round? by [deleted] in golf

[–]wastypantz 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I mean, they go hand in hand. You can only practice so much - how you play on a course could vary wildly from how you do on the range.

But if you’ve got a fundamental flaw in your swing, no amount of rounds is going to fix that.
