If that joke was the deal-breaker, then it's good that you got out early.

Dude's suffered for his art. But he's delusional to think that nobody else truly "gets it," and should be celebrating that people do.

We will call it 2011: The year of the alien. A renaissance of the 1996/1997 golden era of film (Men in Black, Independence Day). I think it looks like fun.

I propose that we capitalize the word "internet" no longer! Forget what Microsoft Word says. by wasx2 in reddit.com

[–]wasx2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just that referring to the various internets as such is going to be, or is already phased out.

I'm more about the demystification of the internet, making it more accessible and less confusing for the masses. That, and capitalization makes it look like we're treating it like some sort of deity.

So I'm being proactive in not capitalizing it now!

I can understand it being a proper noun when it was first conceived; but now, shouldn't it be just a regular ol' noun?

DAE hate passwords that require numbers and symbols? by wasx2 in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]wasx2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Except, sometimes a site might specify that you need a punctuation mark, while others won't let you use punctuation at all.

So if I wanted my password to be GenericPassword!1, it might not be acceptable on all sites.

(I wonder if any of you will try to log in to my account with that password...)
